Despite popular TV shows DNA takes a while. However, it’s his word against hers on the consent part. The pressure that she’s gonna catch may not be worth her pursuing it?

I think given the fact that he hasn’t been arrested or kicked off the team, there has to be at least some question regarding what went down.
That said, he should be away from the team until this is completely resolved. If he’s guilty, he should go to prison.

This kid has a deaf brother and knows sign language. He is know to be a very good natured playful young man. This whole thing smells like that Rodney Anderson (OU) just before the Rose Bowl. I hope he is cleared of this.

I think the worst thing to do is assume someone is guilty without first being proven guilty. This country is supposed to be all about being innocent until proven guilty.

I say that for his sake and the team’s. He’s being accused of a very serious thing that could ruin his life, and 100% of his focus should be on defending himself. For the team’s sake, the last thing they need is the media circus that would surround having someone under active investigation for rape playing on Saturdays.
I hope he didn’t do it obviously, but UGA and Anderson have to work with the realities of being accused of this kind of crime.

All of this. It may be inconvenient (particularly for us as fans) but a girls life may have been severely harmed and a man’s reputation may be on the verge of ruin. Bigger things at stake now, like it or not.

After reading the article, it sounds like they got drunk, hooked up, and she claimed rape so she wouldn't have to admit to cheating to her boyfriend. This happens all the time to guys in college.
False rape claims need to be punished as harshly as the sentence would be if it was true.

I live in Rome and have known AA19 since he was a freshman in HS. Have to say this seems very out of character for the young man I've interacted with on many occasions.
I plan to let the legal process play out and will see what the results are before I make up my mind about guilt or innocence.

Gonna be old and naive here but I find it slightly annoying that a team that is so focused and has everything to play for even has guys out partying less than 48 hours before a big game. I know I sound like an old man but during the season, especially a successful one, I may go out, but I’d call it early. Bigger fish to fry than booze and broads.

So many questions but went to a house (sure we will find out whether it was his) after midnight having drinks and woke up with him having sex with her while she was in lying in a bed (presumably not hers).
In this day, I have to think these guys know so much better than this situation to start.

I hope he’s innocent, and by no means am I saying we should act like he is guilty already without proof. But when there is an ongoing investigation into someone you don’t act like there is nothing going on.
