Tech is at their all-time low

Florida is an inconsistent mess

Auburn is starting to have Tennessee-level administrative drama

Tennessee is in the midst of the wilderness with no signs of leaving soon

And then there’s Georgia. Smoking a cigar with a national title trophy and no real drama to speak of.

No, there has never been a better time to be a Dawgs fan. Ever.

This might actually be true.

Florida isn’t entirely in shambles, but we will have significantly more talent then them the next couple of seasons at least. Tennessee will be decent, but like Florida we will have more talent on both sides. South Carolina is the team that gives me the most pause. Beamer came to Athens with the best game plan of any opponent besides Alabama last season. Now he has Rattler and Oklahoma’s tight end, plus not bad recruiting. We will be better, but we can’t frick around. Auburn is in shambles, but we have to go undefeated again unless we can beat Alabama or Texas A&M in Atlanta.

A challenger will emerge IMO..just not sure who. Regardless Bama isn’t going anywhere and A&M has momentum.

We are everybody’s Super Bowl now.

Hardest thing is to be on top and keep your edge.

Yes. We really need to appreciate what we have currently and soak in every moment because UGA football has never been in better shape in our history than we are right now.

-The early/mid 40s might be up there but there was that whole "world war" thing, and you can argue that our success during that time period mainly hinged on 2 players
-The early 80s we had a great run but you could pin the majority of that success on one player if you wanted to. It's not hard to see how we did the 3 years preceding him then the 3 years after him to draw that conlusion.

We are currently one of the premier teams in america and are doing it without a reliance on one or two megastud heisman winners to carry us, meaning there's no real end in sight to how long this can take us.

True measure of the success in hindsight will be if leadership has the wherewithal to allow this run to lift the ships of other sports and the university at large.

Say what you will about Alabama as an institution and athletic department but they are unquestionably better across the board than they were pre-Saban in large part because they’ve ridden their success wave so far as to add brick and mortar facilities to their campus.

Admissions (which have already been getting more and more selective) should see a nice bump in applicants, particularly out of state. Prestige aside, how does state and school leadership manage those applicants? How does Josh Brooks use football success to build up and not overshadow basketball and baseball?

and Nick Saban is 70. If Kirby can keep the momentum we could have multiple NC's in the next 10 years. Still nothing last forever and we need to get it while the getting is good.

Alabama will always be the top team to beat in the SEC West. aTm will be their closest competition until we see how LSU progresses. Arkansas and Ole Miss will vie for 3rd and 4th.
In the East Tennessee looks to be 2nd best, with Kentucky and maybe South Carolina at 3 and 4.
Tennessee had our defense on the ropes for the first quarter before Lanning and Kirby made some adjustments.

Better Call Saul returns April 18 according to a post yesterday I saw on Twitter. It had two letters D and R meaning D=4 and R=18. At least that’s the rumor

I laughed out loud when I saw Jefferson’s post! All the positivity fire was doused in a single blow! What’s worse is it’s all true.

That said, I think Tenn is on the verge of surprising people in a game or two but beyond that I think they are Kentucky in disguise.

I’m not sure the Florida hire was a good one but am I the only one that feels like something is brewing in Miami? Christabol is making some good to great hires and he’s got the Saban/Smart philosophy of pulling in recruiters who can coach. If so then between ourselves and Miami, we will drain any potential recruits away from Napier. That’s definitely a TD Bulldawgs for me.

LSU/Bama/TA&MU is going to be interesting. I actually think that may turn into a prison three way, but can Brian recruit? It’s going to be fun to watch.

I know my post has no real meat but I really came on here to give Jefferson his due. Humbling us all, one post at a time!

Btw I tried some Bird Dawg Salted caramel whisky w/ Dr.P this weekend and it wasn’t for me, too sweet but smooth. I like my whiskey straight but man I introduced it to some women friends of mine and they couldn’t get enough!

Cheers brothers!

I tried to be unbiased when thinking about what happened yesterday between the hedges, but I felt like we were watching the start of one of the vintage Bama runs where the whole country wanted to see the new guy do something special just to have the big bad wolves (or Dawgs in our case) dispatch them by half time.

UT loses Hooker and all their receivers

They are rebuilding next year. This was their best chance to beat GA

Bama has a great recruiting class. LSU with momentum and stability.

Would think UF and Tenn continue to make some progress with stable coaches.

Hopeful last night help close on a couple recruits. One or two dudes a class make all the difference.

Portal levels the field for many teams.
