My belief is that anyone who said "If "X" candidate wins, I'm leaving the country", should go ahead and leave. If all it takes for you to turn your back on the nation is one presidential election, then get the frick out because we're better off without those asshats.

There will be a drum beat that Trump needs to compromise and work with democrats.
The "obstructionist" congress will immediately turn into the "loyal opposition" upholding their constitutional duty to provide a check to power.

This was one of the closest elections of the modern era. (Since 1900)

Richard Nixon in 1972. Won by just under 18 million.

Since 1900 only one other election was closer.
John F. Kennedy verses Richard Nixon in 1960. Kennedy won by 112,827 votes. (Keep in mind that all the votes have not been reported yet, so this one could either wind up being closer....or not as close.)
Right now Hillery leads popular vote by 152,105 votes.
