Yeah. Ask them if they've got my lawn mower fixed yet. Bought an all-wheel drive Husqvarna last year and the drive went out after 4 months and they haven't fixed yet after three trips to the shop. I take it to the Huntsville store and they send it to Chattanooga for repair. It comes back and still doesn't work.

I decided when I semi-retire I'm going to work at Lowe's. I think I would really excel at sending people to the wrong aisle.

That would be Home Depot.

Lowes is a 5 star resort compared to that place.

Interesting, for the ones near me it's the opposite.

I walked out with a pack of batteries, neither myself, the employees, nor the iphone could locate what I needed. So I came home and ordered it online for store pickup (100's in stock) so they get to work to find it and I don't even have to go into the store.

I'll let yall know how the store pickup works.

I can already attest their delivery is garbage. But that's a long story for another day, and it pisses me off talking about it so I'll not.

HD was the gold standard 25+ years ago at least in metro Atl.

They put a big emphasis on customer service and used to have semi retired contractors working the aisles. Those guys knew their shite and were eager to help.

I'm assuming they decided to cut back in pay and bonuses because 90% of their
associates now are dollar store level employees IMO.

Lowes is a better shopping experience. (Military discounts are better. Staff more eager to help and less difficult to find).

But there isn't a lowes in my town. And the difference in experience isn't worth an additional 5 minute drive 1 way more or less an extra 20.

Besides, most of my tools are ryobi powered and I haven't had a need to look elsewhere. I don't mind home depot at all

(Fwiw, there is a small business independent intown hardware store that I use during m-f for most of my immediate needs)

Tell them to get self checkout at my store so I don’t have to wait in line for a screw.

As long as you wear a tank top, no mask, and bring your pit bulls in with you, the trip is worth it.

Never can get a decent parking space, because I am neither pregnant, elderly, military, lowes club member, crippled or using pickup. I park way, way out there.

I always go through the contractors entrance because it makes me feel important. Sometimes I will even take my tape measure!

Lowe's is designed with women in mind. HD is for contractors.

HD went to shite when they let the guy from GE become the CEO. He was awful. He cut a ton of their employees to part time so they didn't have to pay them benefits.

HD vs Lowes depends on the town you're in.

As Finley said.

Regarding parking, I park in Pro Parking and waiting for the day someone says something to me about it. Loading only they say. I loaded some triple A batteries today.

Really? It seems like they pretty much have all the same shite.

Let's be real though, when I work at Lowes no man is going to be asking me questions about stuff. Seems like a good gig.

It's the way they set up the store with nicer floors and different music. Cleaner and more professional looking. Their theory is men will shop anywhere and if their women prefer Lowe's they'll go there.

If you're somewhat attractive you're going to get a ton more attention than you're expecting

I enjoy seeing trashy people try to outrash their trashy peers at Lowes. Covid has caused them to really step up their games.
