The "when the looting starts the shooting starts" tweet was intended as a threat to make Trump look like a tough guy
I don’t know what his intention was. Neither do you. All I can do is take the actual words at face value, and there is nothing in the quote explicitly threatening that the US will use lethal force against its own citizens.
Again, looting and violence go hand-in-hand in every instance that I’ve ever seen.

White people kneeling for racists, domestic, terrorists is more disturbing than sympathetic mongrels who have feelings for Isis. They’re a similar group except the US actually has police/government assigned to prevent them for carrying out their carnage.

Our standard should be they’re treated the same. They’re children of God.

Black men are roughly 6.5% of the population and commit 35% (+/-) of the murders in America (2017). 80%+ of those on their own race. We are not talking weed and petty theft. Murder.
8% of the black voters supported Trump (which is their absolute right). Without those, he would not be President.
A current 27 year old has had a Democrat for President 60% of their life and half of their adult life had a black man as President.
So, the reports say 429 people have been shot by police this year, 88 black (21%) and 9 of those unarmed black people. Black/African American’s account for 27% (FBI) of arrests so statistically their murders are at a lesser rate than than others. It is so purposely misleading to use population data as the basis for comparison and not murder, violent crimes or arrests. It is also misleading to continue to say unarmed as if that is the only way to kill or hurt someone. Most of the “unarmed” white and black people were in the middle of committing a crime. Most had a criminal record.
Despite that the facts show police are more likely to get killed by a black person, police actually end up killing black people at a lower rate based on interactions. It is 100% contrary to current messaging. Stop being fricking criminals should be the messages to white, black and brown people. That is what should be unacceptable.
77...77 drive by shootings in Chicago a weekend ago. 2x the number of people killed in ONE DAY than “unarmed” blacks have been killed this year. That’s ok..no big deal. No protests. Why? Because pointing your finger at your self is no fun.
Racism exists. There was no way around it growing up as a white man in the South. We all need to be better than to judge people by something as ridiculous as skin color. This mess, this web of lies being pushed for political and personal gain will not solve any problems. This illusion that ignores the actual problems and points to the consequences of those actions is a farce. We can be 100% assured that if people stopped being criminals, the issues with police would mostly go away. We can also be assured that neither political party truly wants to see the changes in place to resolve the real problem. I am not sure how electing 80 year old white men or women is going to change anything. Pelosi is a career politician worth 120 million dollars and 80 years old. Sure, she relates.
If people want to create systemic change then maybe they need to stop voting for the system.

The mental gymnastics on display here is astonishing
Making up excuses for Trump saying extremely dumb and then trying to make it look as though I'm being dishonest. No, you just can't accept the fact that his tweet was completely asinine

Yes the military openly shooting Americans is not what this country needs right now. There are far better way to handle looters and rioters. However so many of you think just because they maybe rioting that means it gives Trump the green light to drop bodies.
Let's ignore the absolutely terrible look of a nation using it's military against citizens and let's also ignore Trump tear gassing protesters for a dumb photo op. Let's instead look at the chaos that would insue if a peaceful protester gets shot or even killed by the Guard or riot police.
And don't tell me this is some fricked fantasy because the police can't even restrain themselves enough to not run over people or cause a reporter to lose their eye.

The only mental gymnastics were provided by you when you took a quote and changed the words in the quote to suit your narrative. You played your hand. I thought you were trying to have a serious discussion but then you provided "Fake News" - Right wing talking point there by taking a quote and branding it to fit whatever agenda fits your world view. This is why I hate politics. You take seemingly decent people and they will lie or distort to make things fit. Highly unfortunate

I was but you're the one that chose ignore all the other problems I brought up and got hung up on my interpretation of Trump's tone deaf tweet.

And ultimately this is where your faults come up. You put Trump on such a high pedestal that he can't have possibly implied that he'd have the military shooting people. No instead you ignore his problems and do these insane mental gymnastics on things like his tweet.

Makes me think about the Redick movies "You keep what you kill" and all the cowards bowing before the evil ruler.

Tear gas wasn't used. Tear Gas is a man made compound. Pepper spray was used.

Also, if your protesting and being a nuisance you always run the risk of betting sprayed. The Secret Service isn't going to risk the presidents life. I'm sure the agitators got a little agitated with the skin irritants.

It's ironic, because the Left thinks he's some brutal fascist dictator on the verge of committing genocide, but he can't even get a wall built lmao.

No, I read your entire post. I just can't get past lying. You are accusing him of being a bad person but then willing to lie for your agenda and you see no problem with it because you want it to seem worse than it actually was.

I put no one but God on a pedastool. I just don't see his words and distort them in my mind to fit my narrative and then do mental gymnastics to justify it.

You 100% do that also you called him a good man when he tear gassed protesters for a photo op. Doesn't sound like a good man

You did lie, you changed his words and typed up a quote that was never said. That's a lie - and you got caught. Just own it.

No , I accurately described exactly what you did.

Sounds like you just have an issue with Trump. CN gas has been used by every administration to disperse crowds of protesters/sometimes agitators. It's an extremely common diversion technique.
The day before the media was calling him a coward for hiding in a bunker - The next day he comes out of the bunker to make a speech and now he's a bad man. It's this kind of rhetoric and willingness to lie that ruins discourse.

He simply did not say what you said he did. The actual words are not there.
He’s an a-hole and probably should have used different language simply to avoid controversy. He did not threaten anyone, though.

This is inevitable if widespread riots and looting continue. Eventually the police and/or national guard will have to restore law and order, and there will have to be confrontations and arrests of some people. Some of those will turn violent. This gets back to my original point that violence goes hand in hand with looting.

First,POTUS didn't give an "order" for anything and second "tear gas" was never used.It was a pepper ball irritant along with smoke cannisters AFTER the protesters were told to move 3 times and then became violent with park police. LINK
quote:
curtail the violence that was underway, the USPP, following established policy, issued three warnings over a loudspeaker to alert demonstrators on H Street to evacuate the area. Horse mounted patrol, Civil Disturbance Units and additional personnel were used to clear the area. As many of the protestors became more combative, continued to throw projectiles, and attempted to grab officers’ weapons, officers then employed the use of smoke canisters and pepper balls. USPP officers and other assisting law enforcement partners did not use tear gas or OC Skat Shells to close the area at Lafayette Park. Subsequently, the fence was installed

It wasn't the exact words but it was a paraphrase. Have fun deflecting from the fact that Trump actually called for shooting Americans
Here's his clarification: LINK
A clarification that wasn't needed since it's a quote from several past sources that didn't "call for shooting Americans" either, because they're context was purely about general violence vs self-defense (ie. business/home owners shooting looters), which has consistently happened during riots and looting in our history.
I mean basic fricking logic alone with regards to history of looters vs business/home owners makes this a super simple application of context.
But of course you decided to make an asinine assertion that's beyond retarded because it paints Trump like some threatening dictator.
You're the worst kind of fricking human being and you suck at life. Please frick the ever frick off you lying piece of shite.

No because when the president of a country gives a vague as hell tweet about shooting he should get some shite for it.
