Great defense...very mediocre offense this year...do we really win at Auburn?

They are 5-0 at home and considering our last visit there...when we actually had an offense...makes you wonder what a hot mess this will be.

Would be great if this deep into the season, we could actually get high level performance out of three or four WRs in a single game, rather than one or two.

We had a poor gameplan at Auburn in 17.

I think we rushed on first down in our first 9 first downs.

Our execution hasn't been up to Chaneys standards, but I do think the playcalling is actually better.

Freshman QB at au and malzahns high school offense. Winning is not a big stretch nor is it guaranteed.

Could go either way. We need to protect the ball, a punt is just fine in this game, and not get behind early.

We do that and Nix will hand us the game in the 4th, imo.

Statistically speaking, this will be the worst defense of Mizzou, UF or Auburn. People assume AU's defense is elite. It isn't outside of the DL. Our pass blocking will be up to the task and I think Fromm gets it done.

Bo Nix has looked like absolute garbage against every decent defense he has played.

vs. Ranked (AP)
41.9 Pct
479 yds
4 TD's
6 INT's
86.50 RTG

We will be, by a pretty good margin, the best defense he has played.

Are we going to turn the ball over 4 times again?

Game plan should be fairly simple. Avoid running into Brown and actually around him, and you should be alright.

Our offenses is still better than Auburn's and our defense is overall better. Maybe even better on all levels. (DLine, LB DB) We have not given up a rushing TD this year, and that means they will have to rely on Bo Nix to move the ball and win it for them.

If Nix has a career day for him, they could win, but I doubt it. Now...if injuries crop up and we play poorly....?

I am actually encouraged by our receivers. Pickens is making strides....Cager is a beast. The only one I don't get is the lack of Robertson. I thought he would be the go to deep threat. I've been pleasantly surprised by Wolf. (TE)

I’m kinda the opposite. Lot of pulling guards, double teams and some 2RB sets out of the shotgun. Plan to attack him early to keep the rest of the D honest. He’s at his best with straight up blocking. Our Oline is mostly back in tact and we don’t want to play into Auburns defensive plan either.

Do that and adjust as Auburn starts to give him help. Quick slants and fly routes will get Brown frustrated too.

Freshman quartbacks dont typically do well vs our defense...we have the guns to win.

Wilson came back into the game

Cade was ready to come back in, even did interview afterwards saying he was ready to go

Trey is probably a concern, should have an update today. Believe it was a left ankle, so depends on severity. I’d expect a brace, with heavy tape and he plan to at least give it a go- depends on practice this week

To be honest besides the one bad snap which Fromm should have handled, I though Cade did an exceptional job stepping in at center. At least we have depth that can step in and play in those situations. Salyer did not look too bad as well as I recall.

I thought he had two bad ones. One at Fromm's feet and one over his head. He was a better blocker than Hill it seemed.

Which one was more recent? Pretty sure Ole miss was the last team Auburn played while it’s been several games since we’ve played SC when we turned the ball over 4 times.

Interestingly, ESPN's FPI simulation has Auburn a bit favored:

52.6 percent Auburn win
47.4 percent UGA win

10,000 simulations must be revealing something...

In any case, this game is for all the marbles. If we don't win, we don't deserve to even be in playoff conversation anymore...regardless of outcome of the SEC Championship game.
