Georgia:
Charleston Southern
Georgia Tech

Bama:
Arkansas
Auburn

This is a good thing for us. We can rest whoever we need to and won’t have to worry about any of our starters being banged up. Bama on the other hand has two physical games in a row before playing us.

One benefit for moving the Auburn game.

I wish this were true but my GOD Kirby was shaking hands with danger last night leaving that defense on the field in garbage time.

I’ll be honest, I hope Kirby doesn’t over-use/risk injury to the starters on D trying to secure the all time scoring defense record.

I mean it would be a cool accolade to get, but winning the SECCG and CFNC is surely the only priority.

IMO shutting things down would be the worst thing to do. Race horses need to run. Playing scared to get hurt is not a solid path.

We have lots of improvement to make.

Worrying about injures speaks them into existence.

Team needs to play its best for at keast a half.

I hope this Georgia team can contain the energy for SEC Championship game a hell of a lot better than I can. Talk about being juiced up.

Interested to see how Bama handles their thin RB situation after their #2 RB Williams left the last game with a “significant” leg injury. They’re down 3 RBs.

If their starter Robinson (or Sanders) gets banged up before the SECCG, their rotation will include a freshman WR and/or a sophomore LB. Both played vs New Mexico.

Undoubtedly, Williams is a tough loss.

Stoked the Dawgs get time to heal up before the SECCG.

We also have more time to game plan for the SEC championship than Bama does.

At this moment, Alabama is all brand recognition but hasn't shown all that much. Pride and playing #1 will fire them up but their team this year seems like an empty shell of last season's.

The question is, is there a mental block when playing bama

I think that was a factor in the past. The current UGA team doesn't seem like it would be a factor. I think the talent level and depth lines have crossed. We could lose but I don't think it would be due to a mental block or being intimidated or anything of that sort.

I think the fans see this as more of an issue than the players. In fact, I would expect our players to come out hard and fired up given the history. I doubt we see the same intensity from Bama.

No more than the mental block we had playing Florida. That was a carry over from the Spurrier streak that lasted through Meyer. Since 2016 we have wiped out the Florida yips and now is the time to do the same for Bama.
