Can you explain why there are a lot of protests around race-relations when it's the whitest place on planet earth? I find that perplexing

Some of it is shame about the history.

Oregon is a wonderful state with great fishing, hunting, and viniculture. Kalifornia Klan just migrated up their and ruined portland prior to fricking up colorado, washington, and texas.
I am fifth generation Oregonian. We were a logging family on one side and a farming family on the other.
Someone said we don’t have the balls to fight the lunacy. My wife and I fought the student board last term and she is running for commissioner this term.
Last term was about stopping this “math is racist” lunacy. That made me lose it.
This term the governor allowed homeless to pitch a tent anywhere on a sidewalk.

Dig the Idaho secession movement, leaving Oregon and portland to self destruct.
I like anywhere you can elk hunt in the morning, salmon fish and crab in the afternoon, and enjoy the fruits of your labor with a fine pinot noir at dinner.

A cursory internet search turns up the fact slavery was always forbidden in oregon, but also blacks were also outlawed, including mulattos, oregon said get out or ye shall be whipped up to 39 times if caught.

Go read about the original charter when Oregon became a state.

There’s also the redlining, jury selection and more.

Pinot Noir is a big hit or big miss for me but there’s a lot to like about this state and it’s a shame that “Keep Portland Weird” went twilight zone.

Have Penis Parties finally been abolished there yet?
Is this a reference to something at Reed College? That sounds like a Reedie thing.

I blame the Bannock Indians

But you know Portland cops. What was the skinny on what was really happening there?
A lot of them want to quit. The DA and the judges are the problem. If you’re a cop in Portland, you’re basically asking to be a sacrificial lamb at some point.
I do think that the pendulum will swing. They will clean it up when people see their housing prices go down.
As far as something sordid going on, never heard anything.

Don’t let them fool you. They were rascals.

You still haven’t answered me about the penis parties.

Also, that tribe is from Idaho.

If you have not watched the movie PCU yet, you need to. It’s like the writers time traveled from 1994 to 2020 and then went back to 1994 to warn us…. But we didn’t listen.
