Georgia fans: Oregon vs Georgia pre-camp check-in

I am curious about your top storylines going into camp and what you’re hearing about the off-season from Georgia’s side.
Here’s my top 5 for Oregon:
1) Speed - whether COVID played a big part, Oregon’s S&C program seemed to devalue speed for physicality under Cristobal. Lanning has put an emphasis on overall team speed. How much did they improve over one off-season?
2) Edge players - Oregon’s defense lacked a pass rush save Thibodeaux last season. Most Oregon fans are encouraged by the development this offseason. Mase Funa totally reshaped his body, Bradyn Swinson is healthy, and DJ Johnson has reportedly turned a much needed corner. These reports need to be sustained in camp.
3) Dontae Manning - he should be CB2 and we need him to play like it. He takes too many risks and wasn’t consistent his frosh year. He needs to improve fast. He’s the lynchpin of the defense. With Flowe, Oregon has capable backups. With Manning, Oregon doesn’t have that luxury. That brings me to #4.
4) Justin Flowe - can he stay healthy? He’s a freak and him paired with Noah Sewell gives Oregon an uber-talented ILB set. I think he will be good for three targeting fouls this year, so he needs to be on the field by staying healthy and playing composed.
5) Interior DL Health - our starting three had upper body injuries and abstained from the spring practices. It looks like in the off-season they were pushing good weight. I want to see that translate on the field. I was worried they weren’t going to be good to go when Lanning took 3 transfers. Now it’s becoming apparent he wants more numbers there than the prior staff.
The national media will say Bo Nix/Ty Thompson is the story. It’s settled in my mind. An honorable mention would be the offensive skill player replacements. However, they were so bad last year I just only see one direction and that’s up.
Anyway, I am really looking forward to the game and mingling with the Georgia fanbase.

Great post, Oregon fan. Looking forward to the game, too; expecting a tough game. Very sorry to hear of the loss of your player's life...we know your team will be motivated and ready for us. Your coach knows everything about us. :)

It’s Bo and wasn’t even close after spring. He continued to have a good summer. I don’t see how Bo comes to Oregon if he wasn’t going to start.

Covid had nothing to do with that. Mario said when he got there Oregon needed more size and physicality.

Our skill players were really slow. Our DBs ran shockingly slow 40 times and cost themselves money because I think part of that was a training issue.
Lanning wants big and fast. He talked a lot about it at media day.

Yeah ok
I’m trying to figure out your motivations for lying about being fired

You and your fellow admin buddy are both compromised. Too much time as e- hall monitors . It’s made you both soft and dumber

Also, I wanted to follow up for discussion purposes with the three players that aren’t household names that will be for Oregon.
I am curious who you y’all see for Georgia.
1) Christian Gonzalez (corner): he’s a corner transfer from Colorado. He’s got a 1st day ceiling as a corner.
2) DJ Johnson (OLB): he’s 6’5” 280ish OLB that has flashed (this might be generous) on defense as an edge player and at TE on offense. He’s got the most to gain with Lanning’s new scheme. Of the three here, this is the boldest pick based on past on-the-field production.
3) Terrance Ferguson (TE): he played as a true frosh. The staff sees all-conference capability this next season.

Can I be the temporary mod of the Texas board whenever they add it until one of their posters establishes themselves?

Time for new admins that aren’t e-frazzled message board addicted Gino’s with a combined IQ of 70

I think it's a pre-requisite to be a message board addict if you are in charge of adminstrating it on a daily basis.

What does that do to your instincts and brain though?
There should be admin term limits if for nothing else other than to protect admin/hall monitors from themselves

Who’d of ever thought you’d miss the days of DamnGoodNittanyLion’s reign?
This is disturbing

I would like to point out I can only do the crappy JV level stuff which barely even counts. Moving a thread from a different board to another board? That's the big leagues
