We were winning games and From was a great fit for the offense scheme that CKS and CJC wanted to run. He didn't do anything to lose his job. He wasn't struggling enough to justify a true freshman who was prone to take one look and take off running taking over at QB.

Fromm sucked against Tennessee and Missouri leading into LSU last year.

Last season, we should have realized that Fromm can't carry this team to a national title and put Fields in.
The best you can do is say that Fields should have more time against LSU, but even so, we still controlled our own destiny and Fromm was not the reason we lost against Bama. AGain, there was no reason to bench Fromm. You have to stop judging the past by the present.

That was some serious hands to the face on our left tackle

You honestly think we have the same offense that would allow Fields to be as successful here?

What are you talking about, dude?

I'm not saying he'd have the exact same success. I'm honestly not that concerned with his success.

What I'm saying is whatever the kid's stat line UGA would have more success with Fields because he is a much better player.

So was Clemson. Dabo wasn’t an idiot, Kirby was, and you defend him.

I can say Fields should have been named the starter after the LSU game last year. I believed it at the time and still believe it. It became obvious that Fromm was never going to be the main reason that a team won a national title. Start the more talented player and wish Fromm well.

Speculation. Our receivers aren't on par with tOSU's receivers. We have a lot of young talent that will likely grow to be world beaters but they aren't so today.

Fromm disappeared in the last 20 minutes of that game. He had a hand in us losing that game.

Talent wise they are but they are hamstrung by lack of coaching and terrible play calling

I mean unless OSU’s WRs have the catch range of a 2 car garage then they’d def look worse with Fromm

Educated speculation. Far better than idiotic homer speculation.

Switch QBs this game and UGA wins.

From threw for 260 yards and 3 TDs against Mizzou and Fields got a lot of PT against Tenessee. Get out of here with that nonsense.

Fields scored two late TDs against Tennessee because Fromm couldn't. And sure the overall numbers were good against Missouri (and South Carolina) but the eyeballs said he sucked.

Again, that's nothing but speculation. Our offense scheme and recievers have been underwhelming all season and have only started to get better in the last few games of the season. We've been off all season because we haven't been able to consistently move the ball on the ground and have been forced to throw to receivers to pick up first downs when those receivers haven't been able to get separation. And yes, Fromm has missed some throws, but those have been a minority of the issues we've had on offense.

Unless you want to claim that Fields' legs would make the difference (in which case defenses would simply spy him knowing that our receivers wouldn't be effective), it's unlikely that Fields would have done much better at all at UGA this season. Offenses are more than the person throwing the ball.
