Exactly. Unless he is desperately needed, let him sit the bench and sulk.

Basically if Fromm gets hurt in the Sugar Bowl, Kirby doesn’t want to have to play a wal on QB.

I doubt the response is the same if we have another option at QB

I’d rather see Downing on the field than Fields.

No shite. UGA’s finest will boo him out of the stadium.

In HS, our QB got his jersey tore off in a game. (Dating myself there.)The coach yelled at our backup “Jones come here!” He ran to the coach thinking he was going in and our coach said “Give me your jersey, quick!”

I’d like to see the modern day equivalent of that happen with Fields in the Bowl game.

As I said in an earlier thread I'd like to see him put in at a 5 Tech so the Texas O-line could pound his arse like scout team Rudy at a Notre Dame practice.

I’ve really been looking forward to this Sugar Bowl matchup. It’s not the prize everybody wanted, but it’s still a beautiful thing.

The Fields deal puts a serious awkward stink on it now though.

This is cuckoldry personified, letting Fields rub his nuts all over the program on his way out the door after already dropping a Cleveland Steamer on our signing day chest. Feels subservient and weak as shite. And I just don’t see how it’s worth it.

Will make for some hilarious HGMF prop picks though, at least. So there’s that

I do look forward to the HGMF implications.

I’ll do my part to look angrily at him while he sits on the bench in New Orleans.

We need to kick that hateful arse off the team and ban him from contacting any players.

Which is why he will definitely see the field. Kirby's role in the program requires him to play nice. The same cannot be said for his teammates who are likely giving him the cold shoulder and the fans who, as you say, will be quite vocal in expressing all of Kirby's thoughts that he can't verbalize publicly. Fans will give him the send-off he deserves.

Coach Jeff Herron did that to me when he was our DC at McEachern in 87. I was the offensive team captain and we used to cut up a good bit off the field. I begged him to put me in on defense just one time. We were blowing South Cobb out in our final regular season game and I am at the bench when I hear him yelling my name over and over. The people between him and me cleared a path and he was yelling “get in there!! Hurry up , come on , come on!! “ I was sprinting by him trying to snap my helmet all confused but happy as hell that I was going to play some defense when he grabbed me by the back of my jersey and pulled me back. He started cracking up and said “ come on back here man, I was kidding. Can’t believe you fell for that!”

Coach Dorsey and the other coaches must have known he was going to do that. They were all laughing their asses off to. He got me good.

I think Kirby knows what he is doing. I’m not going to speculate but something is up.

(I mean, we stole an OSU commit 4 star virtually overnight within a day of this crap).

Yeah, best to let Fields finish out on his terms - I am sure Fields has alliances on the team that thought got a raw deal and no sense in pissing off anyone there. Further, you don’t want anyone throwing any more crap against the program on way out - try to make the divorce as amicable as possible - whether you like it or not.

Smart move.

That sleezeball attorney that is shopping him scares me a bit. I wouldn't want him sniffing around too much.

He took down Freeze, and would probably love to take down another coach. I hope Fields leaves as quick as he can decide. Don't want him here.

Uh, on the advice of counsel, I will not comment on that scenario.
