Basketball is really hard without a point guard.

There are people actually calling for Crean to be fired after just one season? Serious question: What would Fox’s record be at this time?

Fox’s record would likely be better as he would be playing a slower game and more defense. Crean is trying to run a totally different approach with players not necessarily recruited for it... I’m sure they will get better with the right players for his game.

Depends on if Fox would have been able to keep Hagans. That being said, we probably would have been middle of the pack SEC probably headed towards a 2 seed in the NIT again. Mediocre doesn’t really get you anywhere so it was probably still the right move.

Anthony Edwards set to announce on February 11th. Could really propel Crean for next year or drastically delay the rebuild process. Not gonna hold my breath though.

He’s a big Dwayne Wade fan... according to some 247 insiders... but again... I won’t hold my breath like I did with Brown... I was convinced Jaylen was a Dawg as soon as he announced... no mas...

I think he will be a Dawg. Sold on being the guy at his home state, close to home. Loves the D Wade, Oladipo factors from Crean. FSU still worries me but still think we lead going into this week so I like to hear that he moved up his announcement to Monday morning. Love that he took the early official to UGA and came back for the Texas game.

He literally takes UGA from the pits of despair to legit tournament team next year... to be a one and done and jersey retirement category is huge to him. We’ll see. Y’all have to post it. I wanna believe... but I just don’t know.

I saw that Anthony Edwards has a crystal ball to us. I don’t follow basketball very closely but that can’t hurt.

He also hasn’t visited Kentucky yet and he’s already set his decision date. So it really is between us and FSU I think

247 shows that he took an official to UK in January. But he canceled his visit to UNC. UK insiders don't seem to be too optimistic though, so still likely a FSU lean with UGA battling here. Would be awesome to see it happen, but not holding my breath like most. I understand why a kid would go elsewhere, but he sure as shite would have the ability to name the number of minutes he wants to play here.

What about the guys we have committed now? I know they seem to be pretty versatile. Can either of them take on guard responsibilities? Or are they going to be small forwards their entire career.

Neither of them can be a lead ball handler but they both can shoot and slash from the wing, spread the floor and help us be quicker and shoot better. Fit great in the Crean system. Add those 2 with Edwards and we look like an entirely different team next year. A big 3 of Edwards, Hammonds and Claxton would be a load and then fill in around them with Crump, Harris, Hightower, Ngumezi and the other 2 freshmen (Camara & Walton). That's a legit rotation.

We will be signing a JUCO/Prep School PG as well.

Yeah, but you can’t have all of them on the court at the same time. It’s shocking how often Hammonds just simply disappears. Also, you could argue that both Hammonds and Claxton are small forwards as well. Things start getting crowded real quick around the perimeter, especially with our turnovers and our lack in ball handlers. I ain’t complaining but that lineup needs discipline and nothing in basketball infuriates me so much as watching all this indiscipline

With Edwards the floor will open up and help others make greater contributions.

Supposedly we have a legit shot at Christian Brown too. Don’t really see him fitting in due to our signing of Camara and Walton but who knows the master plan. They say Christian Brown has been playing up to a top 10 player in the country.
