If we had a point guard, we could actually be pretty good. We just turn the ball over so dang much.
This team really, really needs an Aaron Craft type of player

Claxton just got away with a travel on that inbounds pass.
But I could definitely live with an Aaron Craft type guy.

Hammonds back in. That's good to see

If we get Anthony Edwards we could do some serious damage next year

This ESPN split screen shite is annoying. Don't care about the finish of Clemson/NCST.
ETA: Although holy shite, that was nuts.

Season highs in every single category....
That’s how you overcome a season high in turnovers
How do you turn it over 28 times and still get that many points??? Oh, shoot 67% from the field and get season high rebounds

They seem to have found something in 2nd half vs LSU... a lot more moving and cutting... give and go etc... we’ll see if they can continue to improve.

Shame we didn’t quit the season as fans after the LSU game.

Ok... take it over... y’all are taking this shite religiously lmao... start a new season thread if you like... I don’t have time to keep it up... shite changed with my company and I’m not having the time as I originally thought... frick...

Literally, if we had one guard, we could possibly be on the NCAA bubble.
10-9 right now, 12 games left. Go 6-6 or 5-7 with a much easier schedule than what weve encountered so far, and Id be pretty happy. Go 6-6 and win a game in the SEC, and maybe we sneak into the NIT.

I understand it’s hard. Have no problem with that. It’s the fact that you wanted to quit on this team after the LSU game.

The thing about that...Crean's offensive is ALWAYS about cuts, but it's all about putting up the shots too. See, the players cut under to look for the pass or get the rebound.
The thing that carried us today is the ball went into the basket whether inside or beyond the arch

I watched most of the game tonight for the first time in a long while. You're right about the offense making shots tonight being what carried us. The two biggest problems with this team are the turnovers and they don't play a lick of defense. Until they learn to stop turning the ball over and start playing some defense, they aren't going anywhere.

thats his MO,,,been like that from day 1. he quit the football team after the LSU game..jumped back on the bandwagon around the AU game and then went nuclear after Bama. He is very stable.

2 games a week is too much?

Apparently, Anthony Edwards was at the game and was liking our style of offense. Also helps to put up 98 points too.

start playing some defense
I wouldn't anticipate this changing a ton... We'll get some blocks because Claxton is just impressive on that front, but wouldn't anticipate massive improvements defensively either. We weren't a good defensive team before either, we just went so slow that it *felt* like we were doing better than we were. Similarly, we're not a great offensive team yet either, but this offense allows us to see more shots, so on days like today when you're shooting exceptionally well, the results look pretty damn good.
The goal of this season is for the guys on the roster to learn how to operate the way that Crean wants *efficiently* and to do enough to convince some more talented guards to come join the party... everything else is gravy. This would be a great year to make the NIT... not because the tournament means anything, but just some additional practices and games against better than average competition.

turnovers
These are brutal and for similar reasons as mentioned above are going to be exacerbated by the offensive approach. It kinda is what it is... We need better guard play... whether it's getting guys on the roster to not suck donkey choads or bringing in quality guards for next season... By the end of the season, I'd like to see us at least start cutting the turnovers/possessions ratio at least though.

Sometimes we just make the sloppiest turnovers. Hjghtower just would have had a wide open 3 attempt in the corner but simply dropped the ball.

No guards and this fricking press is amusing to watch... thank for Arkansas sucks
