I’m not a fan. I enjoyed watching Auburn getting Eiffel towered to end the year

This is why I hate the expansion teams. They fricked shite up.

It’ll be nice to ruin their season earlier every year.

Expansion teams aren’t to blame. We got screwed have to play 2 in a row in Auburn. The SEC could’ve fixed that but it wasn’t a problem until Gus got on the hot seat. UGA plays two away games....wasn’t a problem until auburn couldn’t win. Now it’s UGA getting screwed again.

The scheduling change would lift enormous weight from the Tigers' difficult November schedule,
Well I'm so glad that we graciously decided to do whatever we can to help make things easier for them.
Mcgarity has ways been a clown but this would absolutely take the cake. I'm at a loss for words. He should be fired immediately.

Black is not white. Hot is not cold.

In the last 15 years, the really good Auburn teams got better as the season went along. It's actually better for us to play them earlier in that regard.

frick it. We should just go ahead and schedule regular season games against Clemson and Texas now..

The only thing that makes me excited about this is if we get home games in October. That would be perfect for a massive recruiting weekend.

The SEC could have fixed the schedule by playing a back to back game in Athens anytime the last 6 years....and all would’ve been ok. Now Auburn has to play UGA and Bama back to back every other year away and now it’s a problem because Auburn is a shite show.

Seth Emerson pointed something out that might have made UGA finally want to do it. The Tech game and AU game were on the same schedule, both either home/home or away/away. I assume this move will ensure we get a home game out of AU or Tech every year.
IMO thats still not enticing enough to throw a hated rival a bone, so there had to be something else that changed for UGA recently. Im sure AU has wanted this to be done for the past couple of years.

The SEC has had years to fix this, by having two UGA home games? Wasn’t a problem until Auburn cried foul.

Yeah, this should be his last straw. Can't think of one deal the guy has made that hasn't just been Georgia handing over whatever the other schools in conference want.

No idea why the Hell McGarity would agree to this.It has to be some type of financial incentive for him to agree to this bullshite.
God almighty, why are we ALWAYS the ones caving when one our rivals starts to bitch

Can someone please articulate exactly what McGarity is doing that is wrong?

We've got our own scheduling issues right now. If Auburn has a problem with their November schedule, that's their cross to bear, and they could fix it by playing Athens two straight years. This whole problem started because the SEC made Georgia play in Auburn back to back years in 2012 and 2013. If Auburn wants that sorted out, they should be more than willing to make up the home game that Georgia missed out on and everything would be back in order again.
Instead, McGarity won't push on that, but will capitulate in further monkeying with our schedule to make Auburn happy. frick that, and frick him if he agrees to it.
As it stands, every other year we go without getting any of our traditional rivals at home. Florida is in Jax, and odd years we go on the road to Tech, Auburn and Tennessee. The only bone we get is South Carolina. Nobody gives a damn about Kentucky or Missouri. At least when Auburn goes to Georgia and Alabama they get LSU and A&M. Georgia gets the shaft.
I'll be much less pissed at McGarity if he strikes a deal that moves it up, but sends Auburn to Athens for 2020 and 2021. That would at least be both sides getting something they want.
