With them making the playoffs and his market value going up he will actually end up closer to $10M

Apparently being a mediocre college qb is the way to make millions these days

Being mediocre is often a key to considerable wealth - look at the global political class.

How many other mediocre QBs are ranked behind him this year. Most things I looked at had him top 10 or top 15. Seems odd a mediocre guy gets rated that high.

Going from, at one point, future number one overall pick to 15th at your position can get you rated as mediocre.

So, the top 15 QBs in the NCAA are mediocre?

I believe it was during the game the other day where I heard it said that the reason he wanted to go to Miami is because they could go to the playoffs. I was a little perplexed by that, given he could have come back to UGA where he would have been all but guaranteed a playoff spot.

It would have to mean that he chose Miami over some other schools that were also throwing money at him once the portal decision was made.

Depends on what is meant by mediocre. They are the best that the NCAA has this year, but that doesn't mean that they are objectively all that good overall. There are definitely years where the NFL draft class for quarterbacks (or any other position) are totally underwhelming and go on to do basically nothing.

So by comparison to their peers, they're the best, but when considered in a bigger context, they're not really even good. It's kind of like pretty girls in high school/college; they may rule their roost, but the vast majority of the ones who try to become actresses/models suddenly find out they're not really all that.

All that money and this is what he chooses

Exactly. Sometimes it is what isn't said that speaks the loudest.

Damn dude are you fricking the guy or something? Stetson is a far far far better football player and overall player of the QB position than Beck is and Beck has tremendously more raw talent,

At some point people should start asking themselves why this is

People said Stetson was a sign Kirby didn’t know how to handle the QB room. I was told we could not win a Natty with Stetson. In many cases by the same people sitting on Beck in this thread.
