I'll never understand why people would down vote facts.
I mean, does that indicate they only want a chorus of people that jump on their narrative....and do not want facts brought into the equation?
Guys...a question was asked and it was answered with a fact. I honestly do not get it.

Yeah he's in timeout. If not outright banned. Completely uncalled for. ETA: You can't even pull his profile up now. Yeah he's gone for good.
I was wondering what he said, and you are right. Totally uncalled for. The posters who went over there to congratulate Alabama and say we wished he had stayed did the right thing. Wish him well against everybody else except us and move on.

Yeah it's not worth getting perma-banned over.
RIP IT.
RIP IT.

That’s what happens when you don’t have a gun slinger at QB. Young will be dropping dimes all season with Burton if he stays healthy.
There's more to it than that. Here's the thing. We don't throw a lot of the smaller window or YAC timing throws that he'll get at BAMA. He's more OBJ than Julio, the type of physical receiver who would work well here (a guy like Gilbert for another example).
Burton is really good. The guy is going to explode at BAMA next season.
AND THAT'S FINE!
There's more than one way to win chip. Kirby proved that much. If the way we're going to try to do it next year isn't right for Burton, good luck to him.
I haven't been here in a while, but those who know me know I'm not one to blindly trust the coaches. But I trust Kirby. It's earned trust, not blind trust; and I bet the Dawgs surprise some of you again next season.
ETA -
With that, I'll probably see you all again next season. Go Dawgs!

Bama now has to pick up all his doctor bills. Would be ironic if he got buried on Bamas depth chart as well.

Certainly a possibility. He's like the lowest rated guy in their WR room next year, I believe. Easily the most seasoned, which should do him some favors, but who really knows.

It doesn’t look permanent to me. I’ve seen much worse on there that others have posted and they’re posting again. He got sniped by the big dog though so good luck, IT.

In your lifetime? Are you a really intellectually advanced infant? If not, this could be one of the most absurd comments I've ever read on this Stetson subject...and that's saying something.
Sucks Burton went to Bama. Confirms a lot of suspicions regarding how he felt about his chance to improve his draft stock at UGA. Can't hate him for using the system that's available to be used. Probably lost the DGD label in the eyes of the UGA faithful.

We have plenty of depth. No loss.

I wouldn't exactly say "no loss". Losing his production and a guy that was a surefire starters is always going to be a loss. Guys like rosemy, arian, etc surely have potential but haven't lived up to it yet.

I can't speak for Lewis&Herschel...but I will say this.
Bennett is definitely not the best deep ball passer for awhile.
He is nto as good as some are making him out to be a, but he is not as bad a s some are making him out to be.
He can throw the ball 40-45 yards down the field with a lot of accuracy.
That said, he has to put more air under the ball to get it there.
The National Championship pass to Mitchell went 45 yards in the air and was right on the money. His pass to Kearis Jackson against Florida was about 40 yards and was a perfectly thrown pass. At times he makes plays that very few other players could have made. Then there are times he will pull out a head scratcher.
I think MOST on the board can accept that he has flaws both physically and mentally at times. What is amazing to me are the number of posters that cannot say one thing nice about him other than (one) saying he has nice hair. (Really? Sorry. Don't see it. But since i have very little hair, who am I to judge?)

For someone to say he's "no loss" all that does is illustrate a fundamental misunderstanding of the game, and how offensive schemes work. Is his production replaceable? Absolutely. Was he *also* an important part of some of our offensive success in 2021? Absolutely.
We absolutely don't have a 1:1 replacement on the roster for what he gave us right now. Arian could maybe do it, but not convinced he can stay healthy. Outside of going off early in that UF game (before going down with the injury), MRJ hasn't been particularly impressive as anything more than a possession receiver. Dom Blaylock might be able to do it, but so far yet to find out if he's back to 100% or if he ever will be.
Seems like we may be looking to the portal for the answer here, which is fine also.

I'll be shocked if we don't pick up at least one WR. We have a heavy roster, so it will be interesting to see how the numbers shake out, too.
I realize we will probably lose a few more in the spring, but we are heavy and need at least 2-3 more from the portal, and depending on who else leaves might need 4-5.

Assuming the drama is over, I think we'll be just fine with Gilbert.

I think the development of #5 took away opportunities from Burton as well. 5 made some great plays this year, obviously ending with the go ahead in the National Championship. I think he will even be better next year.
Also, Pickens is currently considered a 2nd round pick, as far as the keeping elite receivers at UGA goes…

That's a big assumption, to be fair.
I wonder if Malaki Starks will get a look at receiver...

I'd imagine both Denylon Morrissette and Starks may at least get a little burn in some early practices there. I am pretty confident that I heard/saw DM was pitched with options to play either way, but with defense being the preference.

Have we picked anyone up from the portal yet? I know we might be in the hunt for Caleb W but I haven't seen one player transfer TO us yet.

Morrissette? I had no idea he played defense.
