Brian Herrien and Herschel Walker
Wow.

Herrien seems to defy everything I’ve ever learned watching football with his body build.

It is all about whether the defender is moving forwards or leaning back, but it sure looks pretty. I wish the entire team had Herrien's heart.

That loss still sucks 2 weeks later...no reason for us to have let them win.

Ridiculous

So why didn't we crack 100 yard on the ground? Does it have something to with the players or the coaches?

Herrien has looked good in all the games he's been in. If Zues isn't ready I'm confident Herrien will pickup where Holyfield left off.

BH has zero... Zero vision. He has injured lineman by running full speed into their back, getting them rolled up. Yes he has heart...

re: Brian Herrien and Herschel Walker
Don't forget there was a better team than what an 8-4 record looks like on the other side of the ball and I'm sure they were feeling disrespected. CTH's staff had a great game plan and had Fromm confused with the way they were hiding packages. Our OL got beat too many times.

I have a hard time believing the dysfunction that had to be going on behind closed doors in December did not have an effect. It had to so there's that. But UT had been improving their last 4 games.

To be fair to Herschel, he hit a future pro bowl linebacker.

Herrien hit a safety with a reputation for laying the wood in run support.

Herschel ran over people at every position but the one always replayed was running over safety Bill Bates.

Based on what has come out recently, it seems like the team was only a "team" in name only. One coordinator gone, the other on the way out, lots of players with one foot already out the door, etc. None of those are real guarantors of success.

re: Brian Herrien and Herschel Walker
Not. Even. Close.

Get back to me when he runs a 10.23 100m.....at the time Herschel ran this, only a small handful of men had broke the 10 second barrier and they were Olympians.

Just for comparison....Deon Sanders ran a 10.26 100m and he was about 40 pounds lighter.

Bates said, after he retired from the NFL, that that was the hardest he had ever been hit.

I like Herrien. For some reason, I thought he was a senior. I'm glad he'll be back and feel a lot better about our run game that he is. He's always done better than we thought he would. Remember his very first carry? 19 yards around the right side for an unexpected TD. Against North Carolina in the season opener I believe.

He's been over achieving ever since. And seems to get better every year. A DGD, indeed, imo.

If Holyfield had stayed, I think Herrien would have gone elsewhere to get a few more carries.

re: Brian Herrien and Herschel Walker
I mean, take a look at #19 for Texas. He has, what, 4 armbands running up each arm? And for what? Only because he thinks it looks cool. There is zero physical benefit to have an arm band every three inches running up your arm. In other words, #19 for Texas is a flaming c#nt. Sure, Texas won the game by beating the ever-loving crap out of us. But at least flaming d-bag #19 got has @ss bouncing on the ground backward per Herrien.

We owe Herrien a huge debt of gratitude. I'm glad he's back next year. It's a good sign for us. That's all I'm saying.

Guy runs hard every play. Scored backwards vs TN in ‘17 when there was no hole.

I like Herrien, but he always gets dumped on in the game threads.

Won't lie, BH never dissappoints in his limited opportunities.

A DGD if you will. I think hisvision would improve if he was not forced to make hay on very few carries.
