Based on how he acted when it 1st happened, I assumed it was a strained hamstring.

that's definitely what I thought too since he was runnign full speed then pulled up gimpy but was still able to walk. After some googling I now see htat it's allegedly a "right knee bone bruise".

What's odd to me is that against vandy he was listed as questionable on the official injuyr report. He didn't play, then was again listed as questionable before bama and again didn't play.

I'll be honest, I don't really know what he even brings to the offense and I said the exact same thign before the season even started. He is a big body sure but is he really any better than noah thomas? Noah was meh for us but had much better accolades before coming here and came from a much better program. Not sure what canion gives us that taylor/dandridge can't better.

I don't mean to soudn liek I'm hating on him, I'll welcome him back the seocnd he's healthy, it just seems like we're rolling solid and I'd hate to disrupt that

I understand that and I'm sure there's a plan for every player returning from an absence. The first rule should be that you get your job back when you earn it back, either in practice, games or both.

If it got to the point to where we were relying on Peal or Lamar for being our 3rd down backs to block I do think it would honestly be a better idea to put our best blocking TE Barbour back there or if you want one that can also double as a credible threat out of the backfield while also being fine in pass pro Reddel like you said would be great.

It won't happen, but I'd like to see Sacovie back there. He's sturdy enough, and he's also the wide receiver who moves most like a running back.

We motioned him into the backfield twice in the Bama game actually to where are final formation ended up being 21 personal

Both time he was used as a decoy once on a play action and once he ran a flare route that wasn’t ever part of the progression

I would guess bobo did this to put something on tape to where we can do that later in the season and actually have a play or two designed for him out of the backfield but I doubt these would be on third down

I think Frazier's our best RB by a considerable margin. I hope he's available by this weekend because defenses have to respect his presence.

Nate dressed out and looked genuinely distraught when he was told he wasn't going to play. He looked like he thought he was good to go. To me that means he is very close to 100%. I have a feeling that if Phillips and Walker were struggling, Smart would have put him in.

Do we need Nate against Auburn? Probably not. I like what someone said earlier about going with a pass-heavy offense. Let Nate rest (we will need him 100% for fla, OM, and Mizzou) and use Phillips/Walker sparingly. Auburn is just a get-through-it game. They are 12th in the SEC in total defense and 11th in total offense. Grind them down, nothing fancy, get out with a W. Plus its a home game.

we have a bye next week. I'd be surprised if he played. We dont need him to beat AU. Be 100% for UF and we're fine

Exactly.

The most important thing is getting our RBs as healthy as possible for the November and post season stretch run.

If we rush Nate back too early and he gets hurt again or re injures his ribs to the point where he has to go down for the rest of the season too we are going to be fricked and playing a dangerous game at RB where we are one injury away for Phillips or Bo to being at an extremely unenviable situation.

I know Kirby likes to play the anaconda game and wear teams down but I have so much confidence in Gunner and this group of WR and TEs. Let them go out there and sling it around the yard. Rest the RBs as much as possible

I think the lines are set pretty well.

A lot of times, beating that line just means the opponent provides us a defensive or special teams score.

Straight up, 21 points is probably accurate.

Their defense is really really really bad and their QB is very turn over prone.

I wouldn’t bet on this one but wouldn’t be surprised if we cover the 20.5 pretty safely

They’re laying the foundation for KJ not playing in this game too. He was listed as questionable but kirby talked about him struggling in his press conference and the UGA podcaster sphere is saying he is unlikely to play along with Frazier.

He's missed 3.5 games and nobody knows what his injury even is

Bone bruise in his knee according to MSN from their injury report.

Tyrique Green is expected back shortly, too, which will help the secondary, and possibly the RB room for depth.

Pretty sure we beat Auburn with Walker and Peal alone. Rest the others.

Not calf. Lisfranc surgery. Out for the year, apparently.
