No, in management, you are responsible for your department. Moreso if it is widespread.

Also, in management, leaders are rewarded for their achievements such as winning the SEC Championship, something UGA has only accomplished 5 times in the last 25 years.

I think Bobo is a perfectly serviceable college OC, but I doubt Kirby would tolerate a “serviceable” member of the defensive staff. The most alarming thing to me is the apparent drop off in our talent level on offense. Some of that is due to changes in recruiting/transfer/NIL dynamics, but I suspect a far larger part is due to bad evaluations. I would never have thought it would be possible for a school that recruits like Georgia to lead the nation in drops or finish outside the top 100 in rushing.

As someone who has managed employees for a good portion of my adult life, I can tell you that firing people when they hit some adversity is dumb dumb dumb. People can learn, grow and get better. In a lot of cases adversity actually makes them better long term employees. Plus, if you fire people every time they hit adversity, you will have less loyal and happy employees and that always will cost you more.

The drops are unexplainable. I don't have the answer.

But the rushing part is because our projected #1 and #2 RB's got injured so we're playing one of the hardest schedules in the country with backup running backs the whole season. That is explainable.

Over generalization much Peter. Most people are judged on how their department does and execution is the responsibility of the manager.

I mean look at the cluster fk boeing has created by lowering its quality controls. Hell space -x as well is in a rough spot right now.

I won't be surprised if we lose to both Auburn and Florida and at least one home game. I won't be discouraged if things don't go well but I will be pissed.

The booster that detached itself and relanded itself successfully is because they blew up 100 of them researching and developing it.

More so Elons arse Burgers going to kill someone unrelated to his rocket sooner or later.

Coin flip now if Bowing or Space X is safer, might just stay in the capsule until they work it out.

Someone has to be responsible for poor execution, most adults feel it's their Manager/Coach. Maybe a change in players will help this year

Except we have 12 years of his career as an OC as data points. Not sure how effective you were as “leader” in your adult life if have all that info you still kept anyone around.

And his data points are pretty damn good, so show me an OC somewhere else that Kirby should hire with better data points, please sir, if you have the time.

I asked Copilot:

Here’s a detailed breakdown of total offense rankings and statistics for every season Mike Bobo has served as an offensive coordinator:

Georgia (2007–2014, 2023–Present)
2007: Ranked 74th nationally, averaging 375.0 yards per game.

2008: Ranked 22nd nationally, averaging 426.0 yards per game.

2009: Ranked 75th nationally, averaging 362.0 yards per game.

2010: Ranked 56th nationally, averaging 385.0 yards per game.

2011: Ranked 39th nationally, averaging 408.5 yards per game.

2012: Ranked 15th nationally, averaging 467.6 yards per game.

2013: Ranked 17th nationally, averaging 484.2 yards per game.

2014: Ranked 30th nationally, averaging 457.8 yards per game.

2023: Ranked 5th nationally, averaging 496.5 yards per game.

South Carolina (2020)
2020: Ranked 99th nationally, averaging 355.1 yards per game.

Yep, most of that was Beck's considerable passing yardage in spite of record drops by our receivers.
The main issue with the last season's offense was lack of a consistent running game, turnovers and record dropped passes.
As such, it is reasonable to see why Kirby is retaining Bobo as OC.

Good Lord, y’all try and keep up, that’s from ‘23, not ‘24. A quick talk with the google shows, for example:

-The team's third-down conversion percentage dropped from 55.2% in 2023 to 39.2% in 2024.

-2024 offensive stats :

Rushing yards per game: 201st in the nation

Passing yards per game: 21st in the nation

Total yards per game: 82nd in the nation

Points for: 277th in the nation
