I can’t take this team seriously anymore if Kirby can’t lol.

Looks like we're going to die on this hill.

this strikes me as a nothing burger. His contract was set to end in about 9 months so it was just extended 1 more year. This happens ALL the time in coaching where a coach, even one on a major hot seat, will be extended just so every recruit/player/rival recruiter/etc isn't asking everyday if he's about to be let go.

I assure you that if/when Kirby wants to have a differnet OC, the length on Bobo's contract will be entirely irrelevant. Keep in mind Bobo's son is probably our starting center so it'd be somewhat foolish to think Bobo would step down during that time unless he was gravely ill.

It was extended prior to last season

You're burying the lede. Like WG said, it's a big nothing burger.

Well, I can only say that our offense needs to be better than it was last season, otherwise we will probably lose one or two games again and struggle in the playoffs.
The good news is we have Alabama, Ole Miss and Texas at home this season and are away at Tennessee, Auburn and GT.
Has to be an easier schedule compared to that brutal away schedule last season.

#1 QB recruit likes Bobo and I am interested in the beckless version of the Ol.

That said, good friends don't put their buddies in bad positions.

I don't think a soul would disagree with that. I think there's quite a bit of debate on the reason for our shortcomings and how they may or may not improve for next year.

Could playcalling improve? Undoubtedly yes. But we could still have todd monken here and it wouln't matter if we still have 1) a poor OL that stinks at blocking 2) receivers that lead the entire nation in dropped passes 3) subpar run game, one of the worst in the country last year, and 4) lack of NFL talent across the starting 11.

Part of me thinks that losing Pittman is the biggest reason. Nobody else can recruit like him.

I didn't take much from it. If Bobo and the offense don't improve from last year I think Kirby will start to get a lot of pressure from the AD and boosters. Lot of room to improve on from last year - WR drops, OL, and rushing yards.

(Cough) bullshite (cough).
We were relatively down in talent and will still probably have a dozen or so players drafted this year, so I don’t really buy that argument.
Kirby would seem to believe the lack of talent narrative, though, given the lack of coaching moves and portal activity.

Lucias found himself on both sides of the bracket, never been done before.

Rusty said that a former SECE school came calling for Bobo this past off-season, thus the extension and raise.

My guess is Kentucky.

Kirby Smart has forgotten more about football than you have watched. If Kirby says Bobo or anyone else is worthy of a job, every fan should shut the frick up.
