This prompted me to check out the Jaws 3D poster, nothing obvious but the tagline is "The Third Dimension is Terror". There are several variations of the poster. One is "Reaching New Depths of Terror".

Taglines: Pick up the pieces folks, Jimmy's in action again!

Boom. Nice find!

And the synopsis you posted is riddled with parallels too...
quote:

Cody Jarrett is the sadistic leader of a ruthless gang of thieves.

Gus Fring. Hector Salamnca. The cartel. All leaders of ruthless gangs of thieves...aka Nacho, the Mexi-twins, Mike (eventually), etc etc
quote:

Cody's top henchman …...attempts to have an 'accident' happen to Cody

Nacho, Hector's top henchman, swapping Hector's doctor pills with heart-attack-inducer pills
quote:

But Cody is saved by an undercover cop

Hector is saved by an undercover chicken salesman. Who has infiltrated the albeqherkee PD as you'll see in BB.
quote:

Finally, the stage is set for Cody's ultimate betrayal and downfall,

Season 5 MF'ers
quote:

a big heist at a chemical plant.

Walter White and Jessie Pinkman pull a heist on a chemical plant in BB to get meth ingredients.

Also, I just watched the trailer for White Heat and there's a train heist scene featured and one the most badass and then fricked up scenes from BB is a train heist.

I think an important part is that Saul, or his sub-conscious, is giving Kim a choice between tbe two.

Or!!!!! Maybe, that's the con?!!!!!!

He's giving her the illusion of a choice therby manipulating her into thinking she has free will. When there isn't much difference between 2 dimensional white heat terror and a third dimension of terror.

I don't know. There's definitely something to the fact he keeps giving her two choices. Whether its Thai or Mexican food. Or gangster or shark flicks.

Need to let that percolate for a while

Or!!!!!!!

Maybe the third dimension refers to the third chapter in the trilogy. The post-Breaking Bad black n white Gene world in Omaha.

Facemelter.

White Heat is Breaking Bad. New depths of terror await in Omaha. And Breaking Bad was terrifying as hell, so Gene is basically going to get skinned alive by the cartel then set on fire and burned to death while they make Kim watch. frick!!!!!!!!

Oh my ficking God, dude. Get a mop ready...…….

Remember when Saul is interviewing at the copier store in a parking garage? And he is asked about being a lawyer? And he makes a self-deprecating lawyer joke about SHARKS?????

So, Jimmy in his quiet time of introspect the first episode is wondering if there's a place in this world for him as a lawyer. A shark. Or maybe if he should say "frick it" and just go crooked. A gangster.

In the movie choice posed to Kim, Jimmy subconsciously asked Kim, his one true confidant, which way he should go at this fork in the road of his middle aged life.

And she chose "gangster" for him.

Holy shite.

More possible code.... James Cagney is best known by today’s demographic as the guy shooting the machine gun in the iconic scene in Home Alone when the boy pranks the pizza guy, and later burglars.

Home Alone.

Kim is home alone while Jimmy is out being Saul.

Pick up the pieces, Jimmy is back?

Hmm.

Theory deleted.

We need to work on the figurine significance.

Remember the figurine is same as ones that the old lady collected in season 3. The old lady that hired Jimmy to do her will.

Did the lady die and the parking garage copier guy inherited it and put it on his “wall of crap”? Or is it similar and just reminds Saul of the old ladies he conned and betrayed and ripped off?

And why is he going risk everything to pull a figurine heist?

The whole theory on Jimmy conning Kim is interesting. I don't think it's a con but I think she will figure out Jimmy is what Chuck had described. I am guessing Kim leaves him towards the tail end of the series. I am guessing Saul goes 6 seasons at the most. I'm curious if they try to do another spin-off. Seems they would have to cut back to Saul post breaking bad.

I think Jimmy's final act of being Jimmy is dumping Kim for her own good. That's my prediction. He'll set him self up in some very calculated cold hearted way so maybe she technically breaks up with him, but it will really be him breaking up with her.

Yes, I agree another spinoff for Gene is warranted, post-BB.

I just finished episode 3 of BB, after the dude gets choked by the bike lock on the pole in the basement. Episode 4 starting now.

JD, why are you jetpacking out? Did something happen?

ETA episode 3 and 4 both very fricking depressing with zero comic relief. If Episode 5 doesn't make up for it, I think I'm done with BB. Episode 5 starting now.

I’ve been in that situation, after my brother’s funeral after an untimely death in a big beautiful church, all the handshakes and sorry for your losses etc, and you just want to be left alone but you have to play the game and draw on your harlequin face, thank you thank you thank you, and then at the afterwake party whatever, i swear to God there is some dna in women that makes them want to frick you. I have a theory about it. It’s when you want them the least, which makes them want you more.

Jimmy didn’t need Kim at that moment. She needed him.

Nothing like facing death to make the living appreciate life....and there ain’t nothing in life that’s a stronger celebration of life than fricking....it’s the basis of life.....how life begins. Funerals make folks want to frick. Great place to pick up chicks.....

- The crooked vet is back

- Kim's hair is oddly incongruent at Mesa.

- Kim's arm is bent

- The statue is just like all the others, but different

- The clock on the wall at the vet's office is 5:43.

5 is congruent with S as in Saul.

Season 4.

Episode 3.

That's a pretty good guess. One thing I've found about Breaking Bad and even more with Better Call Saul is very little is what it initially seems to be. Jimmy really doesn't give a s--- after Chuck's death. It's like he freed himself.

I'm just about done with Season 2 of BB. I've just been introduced to Saul.

So far, I've found a gigantic plot hole. When Jesse first gets busted, the DEA is all up in his business, and he has to lay low and he can't be seen around Walt, and can't do any distro.... because the DEA is staking him out. Two episodes later, it's like it never happenned, and Jesse and Walt are cooking up like normal, Jesse is on the beat expanding his operation. Then his gimp buddy gets busted (enter Saul) and Walt is like "who is this clown?" and Jesse says he's the go-to lawyer, if I ever get busted, this is who to call. Then why didn't he call two weeks ago when he got busted? It's like it never happenned.

Also, I'm not sure how it forwarded the storyline to include the toddler living in squalor in the meth house. I kept thinking the toddler would have some part in the story, like maybe gets the gun or contributes something to the action, the plot. Nope, his presence there was just to make viewers feel depressed. Had Saul not been introduced yet, I may have just abandoned the show. Not enough comic relief. Too much depressing shite with cancer, family problems, graphic murder and violence.

The figurine heist is yet another loose end. The only advancement of the story it provided is that now we know the cartel does business with the vet too. I don't think we knew that before. Or maybe we did, and I forgot.
