I can, it's an entitled spoiled mentality. In 18 fromm had clearly deserved to be starter and outside of the lsu game really didn't do anything to deserve relinquishing that. Keep in mind this is fields true freshman year. If fields went through 2019 spring practice, summer, fall, and still was a mopup guy in 19 then absolutely I can see a reason to leave. But fields decided before we even played our bowl game that he was leaving. He didn't even make it through the conclusion of his true freshman season to decide to quit and leave. That's bull shite.

I agree.

I dont blame Fields for leaving.
I do take exception to his attitude (game 2 of the 2018 true freshman season on the road in the SEC and he is discontented?).

I do take exception to checking out before the first season is already done.

What coaching staff should pander to a discontent who isnt outworking his direct competition for playing time?

That doesnt even begin to approach the lawyering.

Still... fields should never have chosen UGA if he didnt want Chaney as his OC and the opportunity to become a better pro style QB. I can agree that a different program was better for him if he wanted to check with the sideline and read half a field.

I'm mad that he played the Race card to get immediate eligibility.

Literally 98% of our team is black.

He can go fhimself

He may fall down to be the Patriots pick. I honestly didn't see anything in his performance that looks like a 1st round pick.

Georgia is so racist that his sister stayed and played on the softball team after he left.

Agreed. And I blame Smart for allowing him to stay on the team and taking him to the SECCG and the Sugar bowl after the way he treated his teammates. That alone may be why the team played so poorly against Texas.

And didn't Kirbs let him come attend a closed team practice this fall while his team wasn't even in season yet? I mean soooo incredibly toxic.

I'm certainly biased against Fields but he's got good measurables and his body of work shows a lot of NFL potential. He played very well against Clemson on a big stage, regardless of what happened last night. I think he'll still go 1st round.

I took the position that it wasn't not giving Fields more playing time that made the situation poorly handled from the coaches' standpoint, but the fact that they gave him so much time. I thought it was a disservice to Fromm to take him out at seemingly random times just to appease Fields and his family.

I thought Fields had not earned what he was given that season.

This was dumb of Kirby, by the way. Fields should not have been allowed back on campus after what he and that slimy frick Tom Mars did.

As did Cam Newton. But likewise, he'll never be the long-term answer for any pro team. My opinion, of course.

A dude who was 6” shorter and with a much weaker arm had arguably a better game vs Bama... but hey, like we were told, Fields has no issues seeing the whole field and reading progressions when he is under pressure and has athletes equal to his receivers on defense...

Clemson was a weaker team offensively and defensively than they have been the last six years. Fields probably will go 1st round and may well develop into a good QB, but I just think he isn't that good right now.

Fields will be in trouble if someone drafts him and needs him to start immediately. He needs to sit behind a good veteran for a year like Mahomes did.

Based on how he acted at UGA, pro teams will take his ability to be humble enough to sit and learn into account

I agree with you about Clemson but Fields was nearly flawless in that game against a good team. He's got it in him to be elite when he's got a great supporting cast, but as others have said, consistency seems to be a problem.

Does the NFL have a transfer portal? j/k

He would call Arthur Blank a racist and hire a lawyer to help demand an immediate trade by week 8 next year if the Falcons draft him.
