Team Points 24= tie
Passing yards: Bennett 269 / Fields 194
TDs- Bennett 2/ Fields 1
Completions: Bennett 19/ Fields 17
Rushing: Fields 67/Bennett 12
Total Yards: Bennett 281/ Fields 261
Turnovers: Fields 0/ Bennett 3

Fields almost put up better numbers than our 5th string QB, but he had less turnovers at least. I’m excited to read the excuses. Let’s hear em!!!!

At the end of the day, Fields is really good at handing the ball off.

When you look at it without an agenda Kirby knew what he was doing all along and the evidence is clear. Fields has no ceiling as far as potential goes but he looks very average in any games that matter except for one against Clemson who is almost as over rated as Notre Dame.

Its actually a let down. It was nice having something to hold on to which excuses our having failed to win a national championship in 40 years, as ill conceived as the notion was, that Kirby screwed the pooch. His having done so made it appear like there was room for improvement....the reality is that there isn't and all there is to do is to line up with Alabama and win....without some sort of unknown playing a roll. And we have seen how that plays out. Hope springs eternal, 2021 is just around the corner...just wait til next year!

Only thing we learned about fields vs clemson is that he plays better on opiates.

I was honestly a little puzzled with how often he looked to the sideline for a play. He just looked bewildered. Draft stock had to take a big hit, I think.

Maybe getting out of his own head lends to more reliance on instinct and talent. Whatever it is he has no ceiling on potential that I see but still a work in progress....

Fields decision fricked himself as much as anything else.

Big10 just sucks.

Look, I don't like the way Fields and his lawyer managed the transfer but I can't blame him for going to a better team that immediately made him the starter.
And yea, no doubt the Big10 is a weaker conference compared to the SEC but Fields will still be a 1st round draft pick.

Any rumors of Stetson going to Ohio State? Kid clearly would dominate up there.

The small frame is part of who Stetson is (and why he was a walkon). And that frame is why he got banged up vs Bama and Florida.

But can you imagine what he could have done this season if he didnt get touched like Mac Jones? I dont know if it is comical that he played above his potential. Or just another symptom of what offenses are capable of doing in college football today.

It kinda looks like people should be asking why Fields let Georgia get away. Three years in our system and a defense that could have actually kept a game with Bama close had the offense been able to move the ball more effectively. The kid would have at least looked competitive on a championship stage.

It will forever be a “what if”. All parties now turn the page.

Kirby was right about Fromm being the better option. Most dawg fans knew this at the time, but now there really is no argument.

Fields more exciting to watch
Fromm better college QB

As long as Fields ends up on a pro team that gives him a clean pocket and he has wide open receivers on every play, he should be fine. I’m sure the fans for the pro team he is on will always be 100% supportive, so he won’t get the sad face ever. Pro teams love locker room cancers, so he should move up in the draft rankings just on that measurable.
Also, are those wedding bells I hear? Yes they are! Fields and Herbstreit will be tying the knot with a Spring Wedding. We understand that Herby, as Fields calls him, is expecting several “Belly Babies” which were conceived during the Clemson game! Fields told us in an exclusive interview “ the only thing more wide open than my receivers this season was Herbstreit’s mouth and I expect it to be the same way at the next level. If for some reason I am not named starter on my pro team, you can rest assured I will work harder than anyone in creating division in the locker room.”

I can, it's an entitled spoiled mentality. In 18 fromm had clearly deserved to be starter and outside of the lsu game really didn't do anything to deserve relinquishing that. Keep in mind this is fields true freshman year. If fields went through 2019 spring practice, summer, fall, and still was a mopup guy in 19 then absolutely I can see a reason to leave. But fields decided before we even played our bowl game that he was leaving. He didn't even make it through the conclusion of his true freshman season to decide to quit and leave. That's bullshite.

Of course, it's the Falcon way...

Love Fields "Cam at the end of the Superbowl" attitude...

I agree but sadly it has become the new normal in this liberal progressive dominated Covid environment.

I'm over the Fromm/Fields debates but part of me can't help but smile that at the end of the day, both have the same number of playoff wins and Fromm actually performed better against Alabama (twice)

Onwards.
