-In 2021 the book was out on bryce that he will surgically carve you if you let him but pressure helped. In the Iron Bowl they looked like dog shite and needed OTs to beat a bad Auburn. Then next week we play them and we did a polar 180 degree opposite game plan than what we'd done the prior 12 games. Wanted to sit back and contain and not let bryce run on us and they passed all over. In the rematch we played "normal", got after him, and their offense was nothing.
-In 2023 the book was out on milroe that he wilts under pressure. Do we blitz him? of course not. In fact we don't just not blitz, we decided we needed TWO spies on him instead. Of course lost.
-This year we play a soft zone with zero pressure and their offense looked like the prime patriots playing against an 8U team.
It boggles the mind why kirby is so terrified of a QB getting a couple good runs on us, when everything would indicate that we need to pressure him and get after him.
I can only hope that we will just play our normal game Saturday instead of trying to be 5 steps ahead and outsmart ourselves.

To be fair we really didn’t pressure anyone until TX. Maybe we’ll GATA this time since we seem to be doing a better job at it recently.

Toliver didn't expect to come in for the Tech game and didn't practice with the 1st string much this past week.
Things will be different for this week. And from what I have heard about him, he is a high quality lineman who simply hasn't seen a lot of game time.
And I personally don't think that Bobo is completely out of the picture for this game. (when he came out of the medical tent he was doing shiver moves)

The ESPN announcers already shed some doubt on Bama getting in if they lose next week.
And to be honest, the Committee is going to do what ESPN tells them to do.

SEC should be ashamed, I think that is why the let a retiring Ref call it. No way in hell the SEC was going to let Ole Miss in the SECCG without a coach.

Part of this is because they have had multiple WRs who were better athletes than the guys covering them in every one of the matchups. Every single time one of Kirby's defenses has been lit up, this has been the reason. I don't feel like digging around for it, but I posted the list in one of the pregame threads before the first matchup.
It is literally the one thing Kirby has not been able to figure out on defense throughout his entire tenure at UGA.

Not sure how you out scheme inexperienced DBs vs better receivers. Our guys will be much better this go around though as they’ve been in several battles.

This Bama WR corp is pretty overrated if we’re being honest.
I’m more worried about Kirby being out coached by DeBoer and the offensive staff at Bama than individuals.

Agreed. Also, we can create more pressure which changes the defensive game plan this time around

But not on the most egregious occasions. Penalties applied say on 3rd and 4th down to bail out a team are far different than random penalties called when they don't matter.
