Dude banged his hot assistant he brought with him from Boise while married with kids.
So all the rich dudes who run Auburn football and who have presumably also banged their hot assistants while married with kids have thus determined this is a bridge too far and, for the dignity of ol Auburn, a change must be made.

I think they realized pretty quick they made a huge mistake in hiring him in the first place so basically just used this as an excuse to be able to fire him with cause. Although it's kinda shitty for them that they'll be starting over again so quickly. I dont' hate it for em though.

Oh it’s absolutely a play ti get rid of him. Piecing things together (as I can gather), Harsin was Green’s hire but the boosters wanted SEC assistants (rightfully so, given how recruiting works down here). When he ran off Bobo and Mason and failed to install Davis as his OC because he wasn’t prepared for what that job entails, they decided to use the dirt they have on him to make the call.
Kevin Steele is about the only guy I could see them getting and only because he and the Auburn boosters hve conspired to overthrow Gus in the past (whom Auburn is still on the hook to pay for the next 3 years).
Concerning for us is if this is a situation Dell McGee would be willing to step into as a HC
