What’s the overall consensus on him leaving me personally I’m not too upset about it considering Thomas and Lovett coming in but was listening to some podcasts about fans being upset and him not being a DGD I mean come on he won 2 national championship Rings it doesn’t make sense in him leaving with him being a primary target in the offense but I still consider him a DGD

He's an idiot. Next man up. But as others have said, early money was more important. It was stupid of him to shop around and come back to UGA and say match...

He’s a pretty good player and probably would’ve been our first string X receiver but if he didn’t have some of the biggest catches in program history I’d think you see more of a collective shrug from fans than anger. UGA is stacked enough.

Sucks to lose his talent, but it's his choice. He's got his rings and now he wants his payday 1 year early.

He did deliver every time the Dawgs called on him in the playoffs. So he'll always hold a special place in UGA history.

Puts Kirby gunning for RaRa and Lovett into context though, and I'm not concerned about the WRs going into 2023.

He’s not an idiot. He won 2 rings. He wants to coast. Let it be.

DGD

Natties (even just 1) are different.
All of them are DGDs.
We win more, we get more DGDs.

If it weren't for 2 catches, people wouldn't care half as much as they do now. He's a good player, so obviously it'd be nice to have him on our team. But it's not a major loss and we aren't going to win or lose a game in 2023 based on him not being here.

In 2021 he had 426 yards and 4 TDs in 15 games. you know who had 424 yards and 5 TDs in just 10 games? Rantavious wooten. Last year in just a couple games played he had 134 yards and 3 TDs. Call me crazy but it aint gonna be hard to replcae 134 yards of production.

Not a huge loss imo, I wish him well. It's not like he played a tone during his career. Also a lot of us living in the moment of his clutch catches, but I honestly don't think we losing out. We got 2 good proven receivers coming in.

that's exactly waht it is. It'd be like if Michael Johnson transferred after 2002. Like yeah it sucks that we've immortalized him in picture frames and Tshirts forever based on that one play that we'll never forget...but I mean how big of a loss would it have been really?

We will be just fine without AD I am sure.

We’ve basically missed him the last two seasons and been fine but both seasons he has come in and made some clutch catches in the playoffs. Specifically against bama we may or may not have won with out the catch on the free play

We really only had him for 2.5 games this year (Oregon, OSU, and only counting the 1st half of TCU's destruction)

He'll always be that guy for those 2 major touchdown catches, but this team still passed roughshod over our schedule without him playing a major role. And we've added more talent and the guys staying are only adding more experience.

The only guy I know who works in B-M hinted that he wasn't a fan of how hard the practices are, especially after coming back from injury. Everything else is narrative window dressing.

That said, he's a DGD who is forever part of UGA championship DNA.

Good player. Wasn’t ever convinced he was fully committed. His injuries seem to linger longer than usual. Not sure if he was saving himself because he knew he was transferring all along or just wasn’t tough enough.
Good luck to him. Next man up.

Had he stayed until time to declare for the draft he would leave as a DGD for what he accomplished and contributed in his limited playing time. But transferring out for more money denies him DGD status in my book.

I mean… cmon bruh

Either risk him getting injured more against teams we’ll blow out or save him for the big games if he truly wasn’t healthy. Not a tough choice.

I think he’s a player who shows great potential and that what gets everyone so excited. But the numbers/production, for various reasons, just don’t manifest (as WG said). As a fan I was feeling punked for a minute, until I recalled how little meaningful football he played the past two seasons. I trust Kirby & co.
