Kind of strange to me that he'd go to LSU. Great school and all but I would not feel confident at all in joining that coaching staff after the year they had last year and no new QB talent coming in. The expectations at LSU are extremely high and if they have a 7-8 win year (which is easily possible), I'm guessing Les Miles gets canned.

think someone mentioned it was higher pay and a higher position

I'll be curious to see who we pull in. I do like the idea of bringing TBrown in for RB. He and McClendon could recruit really well together for the WRs and RBs IMO.

I also don't think the HW will happen. But I don't think you can write it off completely. He "seems" like a guy that loves the game too much. Sitting in a booth talking isn't being part of the action. He may get restless after awhile and want to be more involved. Just my .02

Weird. They have a thread up on the tiger rant, and he's not even a candidate.
Not even on their radar.

CTB probably just put his own name out there so he could get a raise like every other UGA coach (other than him)

According to Rivals, Ball is interviewing with LSU today and is the only candidate to officially have an interview scheduled. He gone.

I get the feeling Ward is more likely to join an NFL staff to get into the coaching game. As you said, he does seem like he loves the game a heck of a lot. Unfortunately, half the battle of being a college coach is recruiting. If that drives him, he would be great, but I think he would thrive in a situation that is focused on 100% coaching vs 50/50 with recruiting.

Has Hines ever coached anything before? I think it's great that he'd like to bring his name recognition and SB rings to our staff, but I mean just being a former player doesn't qualify someone for the gig.

0% chance Hines Ward leaves Sunday Night Football to be the WR coach at UGA.

Would've said the same thing 2 years ago but they way asst coaches salaries are going these days,I wouldn't quite count em out.

Although I'm pretty sure he prefers a media career.

Not a big deal. Ball is a liability in recruiting as he consistently misses getting the states best receivers. Also he's too strict with his receivers. Sometimes you just need to put an athlete out there and let him catch the damn ball and make plays. Who knows what what would've happened had rumph gotten more snaps. Who cares if his routes aren't crisp, toss the ball out there and let them go for it sometimes. We need more of that at georgia.

Need to let Pruitt weigh in on this hire. We cant afford to have a guy who cant recruit or a guy who is known as an "NFL Guy." we need a guy from the south and who has experience recruiting, plain and simple.

I an offense that is based on reads and timing... Running the right routes the right way is kinda important.

Exactly. We don't run Auburn's offense where the quarterback scrambles around until someone gets open. Timing and precision is critical.

I would imagine Billy Napier or Lawrence Dawsey if Pruitt has a say...

Hines Ward will not and should not happen. There's a lot more to being a WR coach than having been a great receiver. Just because you can do something really well doesn't mean you're a good teacher of the craft. Ward hasn't proven he can do that, nor that he can recruit. I love Hines but I don't understand people clambering for him.

Exactly... I am a world reknowned licker of pussy and just because I am ...by no means can I assure you that I can teach you how to make women levitate whilst making non human sounds of joy to the point that they put up with you hunting and fishing and occasionally accidentally having sex with Delta flight attentdents and 2 different Hooters girls named Hope. Doing and coaching are two different things.
