Definitely a process move. Dawgs in very good shape at LB with room to grow when on campus visits resume

When does Robinson announce?
Posted on 5/10/21 at 12:21 pm to VoxDawg
I haven't seen anything on it. I don't think he has set a date/time

Saw on another site that if his visit here “feels like home”, he’ll pull the trigger quickly thereafter.

Kid looks like he's carved out of marble. Our reputation for putting RBs in the NFL has to be a draw.

We have a big lead on Clemson and Bama at the moment. But Floyd is right.

Apparently we lost a staffer to Texas a&m...not sure if that effects recruiting

I don’t think it tanks the class or anything but it’s a loss. Nick Williams was a great recruiter, especially on campus

Watch Bear Williams on this one according to other sites and insiders. This will have an effect on his recruitment.

It’s going to be a factor, especially since he is now at A&M which was already recruiting Besr hard. But if Elko and most of his staff leave after this season then it may be a wash. Williams played a big role in Bear but Tray Scott is the more important connection.
I’ll be interested to see if we bring Williams home after this season; would imagine Lanning finally leaves and Schu can assume full DC role with Williams returning to the OLB vacancy and this time with some analyst experience under his belt

Malaki Starks is 6-foot-2, 205-pounds, posted the 4th best 100 meters in Georgia as a Junior(10.55). He is already a 5* but could move even higher.

How solid do we feel about his commitment right now?

THAT is great news! I am guessing we will be finished with transfers for the DB group. Hopefully Turnage can give us some experience for Clemson, then give the younguns a little time to mature for the SECCG and playoffs if we make them.

Nah we probably need one more DB, ideally a plug and play corner. Kendrick from Clemson would be ideal but not while he has charges pending. If the charges are dropped, he’s probably the guy

He’s played like 1 snap

I think he yas 1 PBU.
Very different from 1 snap.
He isnt experienced like the WV DB.
But he has the athleticism we need and the coaching (and isnt coming off an injury)

This. The hope is the charges are dropped to a misdemeanor... if that happens then he's probably the guy. If not, seems like we'll still be looking but not really interested in any of the other available portal candidates personally... no one with true starting corner written on them to me. Perkins likely the best of the bunch, but I still see a safety with limited upside and the goal is to bridge us to the point when one of the other younger studs can step up and man the position.
