I haven't followed recruiting well until recently, where would we lose him to? Bama, Auburn?

So a miss on top 4 in state kids?

Best class ever was 18'. Landed all 6/7 in state 5* kids, and the miss was Lawrence.

Wonder what's missing.

Burton has been a rumored flip for a few weeks. LSU is favored in the CB percentage because he’s currently committed there.

A coach who can finish the drill.
We absolutely must win a NC in the next few years, otherwise our recruiting will likely drop down to Richt era levels and Kirby might well become CMR 2.0. The 1980 memes are likely hitting home with top players who don't believe that UGA will ever be a place to win a championship.

We badly need to recruit another athletic QB like Fields and build an offense around him with dynamic receivers who can go up and take the ball away from defenders. Said QB should be able to roll out with an option to run himself, pitch out, flare out or throw down-field on every damn play so that the defense never knows whether we are going to run or pass and we don't know either until we see who is covered and who isn't.
Translation: our football team needs to evolve.

Evidently Kirby’s honeymoon period and UGA as a media darling was short lived due to 2 heartbreaking loses and a underperforming season.

Agreed. We don't need game managers at QB.

Anyone else find it funny that we were in flip mode all weekend with some very positive vibes and certain posters weren't around. Then it looks like we might lose a top recruit and they show up screaming like Chicken Little saying the sky if falling.

What a miserable way to live.

Lol it was a quick switch to attacking Kirby and thinking the program is doomed. Can’t we just be bummed a guy is leaving because of staff attrition? Goodness.

Willock commitment does not bode well for us holding on to B Jones

Rated at guard... Why would we assume he's anything other than a replacement for Braun at this point?

With his size and our depth I have to think this sure as shite isn’t bad. Hopefully he can be developed into a stud and few programs have the ability to take on a project with so many raw materials (this is based on me seeing his metrics and not film).

I don’t think it’s bad to be positive on this at all. We lost Pittman. It happened. Attrition is expected as much as it sucks. But in the Richt era this shite was the norm, not one of our lower end OL recruits. shite, if memory serves we barely even hit the numbers regarding quantity let alone quantity.

Or we can all just devolve into beating the Fields horse for a few pages again. Either way I’m always down to bitch but I’m not gonna complain about getting this kid.

Can we really say DBrown going to Auburn was bad for him? He's a top draft target this year... Seems like things worked out ok for him.
