Lots of missed opportunities in this cycles, especially if we lose Haselwood and Stevenson.

The Fields news was meant to harm us. That was a hit piece. Straight up trash journalism at its finest.

Well Wolken is a Tennessee fan as far as I can tell, so no surprise he'd run with that story. But the real damage came from whoever chose that timing to let it leak. CFB is a dirty business. You have to always be proactive with the news cycle.

On another forum, another known insider posted last night that the staff worked harder and was less certain about today than any other class. They did not know who they were getting. That proved to be right.

I'm not going to be upset with 4 five stars, 14 four stars, and 2 two stars with the opportunity to pick up stevenson, Haselwood, and maybe some others.

I don’t think the Fields stuff hurt us with anyone but Haselwood. I was actually pleasantly surprised by the response of the team on social media to the news

Maybe not, but good chance that every undecided recruit heard some negative recruiting about lack of qb depth and racism yesterday. It sure wasn't a positive.

He may have gone to Vandy, but I've seen him say lots of positive stuff about UT in the past. Most true Vandy fans hate Tennessee but he doesn't fall into that group.

Not a brutal signing day at all. We got 4 5 stars and a bunch or really good players. When you try to land the best recruits in the country you miss sometimes. At least we are on the table for these guys now.

Not really. We got everybody we should have gotten, and just missed on some we hoped to get. And, it's not over. We'll see.
And we have the February signing to go. Not as big of a deal as some are making it.
