Watching T. Law and Zeus head to Clemson hurts...bad. Those guys are program building type guys. The guys we will need if we are to consistently play for National titles.

Striking out on both is a let down...hope Kirby can at least sway Zeus.

I know he's #1 overall but honestly I wasn't that worried about losing lawrence. We have 2 mega studs on the roster already and I think our offers prove that going forward we're looking for a big time dual threat guy anyway.

Losing zamir really hurts, especially if you believe the people that say that we led for him for a while and he really like us (maybe under richt? idk). Good news is there's still a ton of time left.

It's gut wrenching though to think that clemson could sign the overall top 3 players in the country. I think their fans are drastically underestimating what Watson meant to them, I'm hoping that they lose a handful of games this year and we at least win the east and give people somethign to think about.

I'm with you. I think TLaw is going to be a stud but I'm okay missing on him. Harrison Bailey (2020) will fill that void. However, Zeus and Swift as the 1-2 punch would be a nightmare for opponents. We'll get our backs but there are none more special than Zeus.

If we don't get White, it makes the Toneil Carter situation that much more frustrating.

And typically clemson has been simply a blip on the radar of the cfb landscape. They've never really been a natinoal player more than one or maybe 2 years in a row.

With watson they played in the NCG last year and won it this year. With the talent they're getting it looks on paper like they're building a program that is going to be a mainstay which just sucks. I'm really hoping that losing watson spells multiple losses to take some luster off what they're doing. This season they go on the road to aTm, FSU, and GT and get Louisville and SC at home. Those are the 5 games they will be reasonably tested. Hopefully at least 3 losses come out of that.

The previous staff was his biggest tie to UGA. It hurts when that goes away.

Watson was definitely a program changing QB for Clemson. However, on top of that, Clemson is putting the money into building a premier program. Their new athletic building is the Taj Mahal; it is totally unrivaled by any other in th country. They open up the checkbook to go out and get top notch assistants whenever needed (Venables from OU, for example). They are an athletic department that is 100% committed to winning at the highest level... I can't say the same for ours.

Oh I know, and yes their AD runs laps around ours.

I read an article a few months ago about Clemson losing a big recruit to someone (maybe auburn, idk) and the reason he gave was because of the athlete housing. So clemson got a guy to go tour athlete housing at that other school, take pics and notes, and report back to the AD. So they went out and upgraded their housing to the hilt before the next season even starting.

They recognized a problem, instantly decided to correct it, and got it done in less than a year.

Until we have a full purge of McGarity on down, there's no way folks are going to open the checkbook like ALL of our competitors do.

Ya there is no reason for us to lose recruits based on lack of facilities. NONE. We should be ashamed to be outdone on these things.

With the new Indoor Facility and Sanford stuff, I like what I am seeing, but others are quite simply just doing more to attract young athletes.

FWIW, I know a lot of people are on edge about this class, but 247 did early predictions and they predicted we land 6 of of the top 10 (with Allen to ND, which is tenuous at best). That would be a banner year under Richt, and we have 3 good WR prospects in the state's top 10.

Do you have the article anywhere? Seems suspect given this is the current top 10 (based on composite) in the state
T. Lawrence - Clemson commit
J. Salyer - UGA lean
Emory Jones - OSU commit
Justin Fields - PSU commit (MLB?)
Trey Hill - ?
JJ Peterson - ?
Brenton Cox - ?
Derrik Allen - ND (for now)
Robert Cooper - FSU
Justin Mascoll - ? (dawgs definitely in it)

I mean, let's say that's 2 if we say Mascoll is a good shot along with Salyer. Who else makes up the 6? I'm not saying it's impossible, but we're definitely not in the same shape in state in 18 that we were in 17 or appear to be for 19.

Hey fellas. Do any of you know this kid:

Michael Harris Highlights

quote:

Alabama hasn't struggled recruiting high-level linebackers in recent cycles, and that's the type of player UA's latest offer could be should he continue seeing his stock soar.

Tucker (Ga.) inside linebacker Michael Harris reported an offer from the Crimson Tide on Thursday afternoon, just days after Auburn and Georgia threw their hats into the ring.
(Photo: 247Sports)

Other programs in the mix include Colorado State, Indiana, Iowa State and Wake Forest. Expect Harris' list to continue growing in the months to come.

At 6-foot-2, 213 pounds, Harris has yet to receive a 247Sports player rating.

247Sports' Rusty Mansell, however, says Harris could be a top 10-12 player in the Peach State based off of what he's seen.

Maybe they're referencing 247 rankings, not composite?
