Well now it's officially official, we done. What a great class. I hate how the Murchison situation went but hopefully there is a story there we aren't aware of.

Damn I guess we are taking 9 billion DBs this class
To be fair, we need it. Our DBs that are on campus are small. We added length and athleticism to our defensive backfield in bunches and I'm good with that shite.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if Brini or Speed became linebacker hybrids.

There is gonna be some serious competition at DB this year.

ESPN already talking about jumping Michigan over us, not that it matters in the least.

Make Mecoloe Hardman the IMac replacement.

competition breeds excellence or I think that is what one of the motivational posters said in my high school football locker room

I wonder if the staff is anticipating some more attrition at DB before all is said and done.

FS- LeCounte
SS- Bishop
Star- Gibbs
CB-Speed
CB-Stokes
Grow into a LB- Brini
Part of me wonders if we took Stokes and/or Brini because of how we feel about a guy like Derrick Allen in the 2018 class. He appears to be looking OOS at the moment, so maybe this was a little insurance?

247composite score is all I care about. Lugenbill handles all of ESPN's rankings and he's middling at best. Composite rankings take into account all of the major services and their rankings. Best way to do things. We'll stay at 3 in that one.

It's pretty insane honestly. There has to be plans already for shifting guys around. WTF are we going to do with 7 additional DBs?
I think going into next year we had 8 returning DBs on scholarship by my last count. So 15/85 scholarships tied up on DBs for lets say 5 starting spots (including the nickel). I guess it makes sense, given the Saban defensive scheme. Put guys in man coverage frequently... gotta get guys on campus who can do it, then build around them.

Nailed it...can't effectively play Bama/Kirby's scheme without lockdown corners, or at least big corners to to have a chance against bigger receivers and speed to cover the field.
