Leatherwood apparently made his way to Atlanta for the championship game today.

If he did, that's pretty telling and not to mention highly disrespectful.
If he wants to go sit the bench for 2 to 3 then so be it.
Dude would prob start here and play all 4

Cam Robinson has started at LT for Bama since day one, and will be a first round pick.
DJ Fluker did the same, and was a first round pick as well.
If he is goes to Bama, and is good enough, he will start from day 1, and has a good chance to be a top pick. No reason to get salty for him wanting to play in Tuscaloosa.

If he comes to UGA he WILL start from day one and UGA puts just as many guys in the NFL as Alabama.
I'm not salty, I just don't get guys who can 100% come and play right away vs possibly never at bama

I know he would do well here. you would think, one of those boys would give us a shot they got what 5-6 top linemen in this class.

So we got any juicy recruiting tidbits? I saw we got a CB for Hayes out of Miss. I believe he is a 3 star OT.
I assume Baker and Leatherwood are out....
Are we gonna get that LT anchor we desperately need to come in and contribute right away?

Has there been any news/feedback regarding Leatherwoods' visit?

He left the visit early to go to the SEC Championship Game.

He came back after the game.

Isaiah Wilson saying he will announce on Christmas. Makes me think his mind is already made up going into his visit this weekend... we'd need to work some magic to get him

Its looking more and more like we will have to go Juco again this year for a OT.
Someone help me understand why we can't draw in a Stud LT with Pittman coaching the oline and their being playing time almost guaranteed?

Better than a 1-AA graduate transfer...

Elite OT's do not grow on trees and, generally, want to go to places where they feel like they will for sure be groomed into first round picks. Bama is a football factory. They can sign the top OT in every class, every year, and there's still a chance that kid will end up going in an early round. We don't have that track record with offensive linemen. We got the two best tackles in our home state and we whiffed some OOS guys. Our recruiting is improving but we have a ways to go before we can think about building a recruiting juggernaut like Bama has. It takes on-field results, draft history, and relentless pressure on the recruiting trail. I think we have the latter, but Bama has all 3 right now.
edit: Make no mistake that our OL recruiting is lightyears ahead of where it has been. Netori Johnson would still be a Bama commit if our old staff was here and Salyer would probably be locked into Clemson. Those two guys will be day 1 draft picks at guard and if we can develop Andrew Thomas, Pat Allen, D'Antne Demery, Ben Cleveland, Solomon Kindley, and others into 1st, 2nd, 3rd round picks then we will see elite OL prospects from OOS take UGA more seriously.

Thomas and Demery can be NFL OTs, just not yet.

Tony Gray has a big offer list, but I don't know who is actually targeting him. Apparently UGA hasn't been in touch since spring. I think he's a OG long term.
