When is he taking the SAT again? Think he cancels if he gets his score?

This weekend, but according to many, because it's the new format, he won't get the score results until May possibly. This is why he's looking at signing the Grant in Aid papers rather than an NLI... giving him the opportunity to unofficial out there were he to get the score. Saw some other scuttlebutt on another board that he may not even visit out there now and that last weekends visit was canceled because his mom couldn't make it but she'd already seen Alabama... who knows whether any of that shite is accurate, but at this point it's just wait and see.

coming out of UGA or Notre Dame (which, in the grand scheme of things, are close to academic peers).
I think Notre Dame is better thought of academically than many on here realize....or perhaps I am misunderstanding the sentiments. In Forbes list of the top Colleges and University in the united States, Notre Dame is listed at #13. UGA is ranked #102. I don;t think we are academic peers with Notre Dame. UGA has improved, but there is a long way to go before we become academic peers with Notre Dame. (Stanford is #3, by the way)
I am guessing I am misunderstanding the comment.

I think what he is saying is that the gap between the quality of education at Notre Dame versus UGA is not that wide. Which is true.
The rankings are misleading because the schools can be so close to one another. Obviously, the number 1 school is not ten times better than the number 10 school. It's just a hair difference between them. In fact, the number 10 school this year was just ranked best university in the world about 2 years ago (California Institute of Technology).
Also, if you take out the ties (counting each tied school as 1 spot), ND is 12 and UGA is 31. The gap is closer than you think.
Lastly, Forbes list is much different than the US News and World Report, because the rankings are all subjective. FWIW, USNWR has Notre Dame at 18 and UGA at 61.

Frankly, I think ND gets ranked higher in large part due to the smaller enrollment and class sizes.... Especially for 1st year. Some people benefit from that atmosphere. Once you get into your major though, I think the class sizes are similar.
I sent one of my kids to an Ivy and one to UGA. The UGA kid is almost as smart as the IVY. More in some aspects. We had an agreement that I would pay for Ivy schools or pay for UGA and any grad school. Both of them will get into a very good grad program I am sure. I'd put an honors degree at Terry against anything on the board for getting into grad school or getting on with the big $ companies....

That's right, Barstools. The dropoff in academic quality between Harvard/Stanford/other top schools and Notre Dame is much steeper than the dropoff between Notre Dame and UGA.
Agreed that UGa Honors and Terry are crushing it right now. In the past 5 years, UGA has developed into a reliable feeder for Ivy grad schools, Wall Street finance, and good consulting firms.

Mykelle McDaniel visiting today. High level DL prospect but was considered a non-qualifier.

Demetris Robertson signs financial aid paperwork with... Cal? LINK

McDaniel would be a fantastic addition if he can get his academic life straightened out.
Robertson and his bro just need to move out to California together. Seriously, just go live there if you want to live there.
Did he even OV here as thought?

Not yet. Theoretically scheduled for this weekend or next? (can't remember) Plenty of time to cancel still.

Makes me wonder if we're about to get bounced (again) because Cal said he could visit them. Would mean we're all but out as he'd be out of OVs

He already took an OV to Cal, I believe.
This one has transfer after 6 months written all over it.

Hell if I can even remember. I thought it was UCLA or USC but you could very well be right; kid has been all over the place (literally).

Completely agree. To where who the frick knows; brother could very well just push him to Transfer to Stanford from Cal or to Bama from Notre Dame.
