gold is a horrible hedge against inflation, dude. Look at its performance. It’s $150 lower / oz now than it was at the beginning of the year.

Before the pick 6, it felt to me like Clemson was noticeably louder than us. But we got loud after that esp for the last 10 mins. The walk out of the stadium was the loudest post game celebration I have ever heard. Maybe it was just the way sound travels in that stadium but it was just a deafening roar of us cheering as we walked out.
And yes, there were a lot of sloppy people. Lot of folks pregamed like it was a 330 kickoff and were not prepared to hang til 10-10

If that’s satire, it’s brilliant
Shocked how long it took RIDE to notify the market that it will be bankrupt within the year

If we’re playing this fantasy where civilization collapses (will there be zombies?), you don’t want precious metals or crypto. You want useful things like food, ammo, medicine.
Anyways, the use case for precious metals (what if the world collapses) shows how silly an investment it is. If you want a hedge against inflation, buy a commodities ETF or something

Some food & drink ideas for Portland:
Scales (best sea food and experience in the city, worth the money)
Fore Street
Blythe & Burrow (great cocktails)
Eventide (get the lobster rolls)
Duckfat (get the fries and all the dipping sauces)
Holy Donut
Hot Suppa (great breakfast/brunch)
If you’re in Portland on a Thursday, they just started doing sunset concerts by Thompson’s Point after being on hiatus for a year bc of COVID. Great setup.

The shitcoins are hilarious at this point
Starpup somehow is supposed to build a sanctuary for rescue dogs. Why stop at dogs? How about a shitcoin for a children’s orphanage that also has therapy dogs which are all rescue dogs

the issue isn’t the number of pre-orders but whether they’re worth anything to the company. Apparently one of the so-called “preorders” for $700 million / 10k cars was made by a one-man company working out of a $1200/month 1 bedroom apt in Houston. Another pre-order for 20 trucks was supposedly made on behalf of an Ohio city but the city said it didn’t know anything about the order.
The pre-orders are no commitment, no money down, so the concern is that none of these pre-orders accurately captures demand for the vehicles
And yes. A plant they bought from GM for like $40 mill after GM leased them the money to buy it ain’t enough to justify their valuation

Man, that is a pathetic response. About as close as he can come to conceding that Hindenburg was right about the inflated orders without explicitly admitting it. Makes you wonder what else Hindenburg was right about.

I'm fine with OU going over us at this point. When Bama puts up 60 on OU's garbage defense, people will talk about how it should've been someone who can hang with Bama. Maybe that'll pay off for us in future years.
Claxton plays smart defense too. He’s caused a couple turnovers already. Gonna be a baller in a year or two
It was about a 20 min wait to get through security for the SECCG. This is probably gonna double that (or worse).

They had no signed contract.
Even if this MOU isn't "binding," doesn't an oral contract count? If Tennessee offered him $5 mil a year for X years and he accepted, isn't that a contract?
