Man its very quiet on the recruiting boards these days. I'm assuming we won't be getting any more 2016 commits until NSD?

Very unlikely that many of the remaining 2016 targets pop before NSD. Most are going to take their last OV this weekend and announce next Wednesday. Some may announce right after their OV but those are typically few and far between

If they have waiting this long, no reason to jump the gun. Unless they are concerned about their spot being taking - but in those cases, it wouldn't be a high profile prospect usually.

More importantly right now isn't who might commit but what offers might go out. You can get a really good read on what the coaching staff is feeling about their chances for certain guys by keeping an eye on who is all of a sudden getting offered.

Then again, that was a constant under Richt because he was so opposed to offering anyone and everyone and offering them early. We may not see the same with Smart; may be more of a case of watching the visits from the staff

Marshall could flip on his UV this weekend

No insider info, just think it could happen since he wanted to return right away

He could if he hasn't already. Most guys have already commit or will commit this weekend; it just won't be made public or official until NSD.

because we've had woerner in the fold for sometime,

I think Woerner is the key for this class. He's big, strong, and for his size he is pretty fast. (40/4.76)
I think he was an even bigger necessity than Robertson. ATTENTION! I did not say he was better than Robertson or Hardman....just a bigger need. We needed a big, strong receiver and we got one. I think we can move Nauta around and flex him from the the line to have two big receivers near the goal line. I think receiver wise, we'll be ok.....certainly it would be great to have a couple more.....you can never have too many.

I would be shocked if he goes anywhere else. OV last week and instead of going to Auburn this weekend where he is committed, he is coming BACK to UGA? He'll be in our class.

UT? Why in the frick would he go to UTk? I thought it was pretty much us vs AU. If we lose this kid to AU then its safe to assume the kid loved Richt maybe? I mean Kirby spoke about building solid depth...this kid is a must have imo. To lose him to Butch and UTk would be worse then AU imo.

Makes no sense. Rocker was officially retained with plenty of time to spare between then and NSD.

That's what happened. There was a window of 3 or so weeks for other schools to drive a wedge between Brown and UGA. Cut down on the trust factor and UGA hasn't been able to regain momentum.

True. But when the kids don't know when a decision is going to be announced they start looking around. And let's face it....the freshest memory is the best memory.
That's why so many coaches like to have the last OV with a recruit before signing day. Don't panic. Smart is doing fine. I'd be willing to bet he has a commit or two that we know nothing about.

What we have learned time and time again is that the devil is in the details when it comes to attracting key recruits. Schools like Ole Miss and Tennessee dig into in depth issues. Is a family member looking for a job that your university can satisfy? Does the recruit have a brother who could also be recruited? Does the family just flat out need money? Do they have a favorite charity you can donate to? And yes, does the recruit want a hot girl friend? This where are recruiting staff/research team needs to step up to the plate.
