And so they should. Once in a lifetime thing. I would enjoy it. You would enjoy it. They ALL enjoy it if they are highly recruited. It plays to the ego.

And I have to say that I think Smart sealed the deal with Nauta, but I would hardly give him all the credit. Nauta was leaning our way before Richt was fired. I I don't think either can get full credit, but both can claim some of the credit.

When they asked Nauta why he decided to play close to home, he said his year at IMG helped him make the decision. IOW, he missed his Momma.

What coach in the nation could blow up his entire staff and still get a 5 star EE tight end and a four star EE wide receiver? Kirby freakin Smart, thats who!

And he really hasn't even started yet. That's the scary part for the rest of CFB.

I know several will wait until NSD, but anybody got any guesses who might be next?

What did Warrior say about Mel Tucker being our DC?

That he loved him. I really like our chances of landing Warrior once Kirby gets here full time. He doesn't have the best relationship with Pruitt. Said that he "doesn't get a good vibe" from him.

Yeah, generally if they didn't announce at one of the all star games or previously they run it to NSD or longer.

So now that we have Nauta and Kirby is coming home in 24hrs, what targets do we have out in front? Who will we push all the way up until NSD?

I assume the following will be a priority?
Hardman
Brown
D-Rob

Who else?

Justin Crawford

WANT!

Holy crap, his yards after contact, vision, cutting, and ability to go from zero to breakaway speed is outstanding.

How much eligibility would he have and how is our chance of getting him at this point?

With only Holyfield coming in and us almost certainly losing Chubb and Michel after next season, we could really use Crawford. And after seeing that video I like him a lot. Bit undersized and light, but crazy dynamic.

He's about 6' 195 lbs so not too undersized really.

Very good chance if he makes grades and gets an official offer

for the link. Kid looks like hanging out with Michel and Chubb in the weightroom would have him beasting in between the hedges. A combo of Holyfield and Crawford could be really good

Damn, Dawg Treats this morning make it seem like we trail for Brown. Hoping kirby and Rocker can land this kid. He's a must, Imo.

I have no inside knowledge and generally suck at predicting where guys end up, but I'll predict we don't get Brown.

I'm optimistic about our class in general though.

That's because we do. Really lost momentum with the coaching change and the uncertainty surrounding Rocker, even though it was only temporary.
