Same insiders that said we looked good with Ridley early in the week, have mentioned we also look good with several others.

Could very well be a reflection of the gap between the former public school and the new private school. Many small public schools are just focused on getting the border kids to pass the CRCT type exams so they get their funding. They teach the minimum requirements and ignore the students who will easily pass or will definitely fail.
My daughters switched from a small public school to a large public school, and even there the gap was noticeable.

Or it could be a product of a parent purposefully holding their kid back so they're a year older than the rest of their class. This is a big problem in Texas right now.

I watched his highlight tape and while he looks pretty good, there was nothing about him that really jumped out at me. Also saw his 40 time is 4.83 according to ESPN. Not saying I don't want him and I definitely think he has potential but I guess I was a little taken aback after all the hype around this kid the past week. Any others got info on why everyone wants this kid so badly?

A lot of the hype is because of his name.

Great decision by Ridley. He could possibly be turned into a superstar by Eason. I would take that chance.
