When have these FSF guys ever been right?

Rico will visit per Rusty.
I'm not getting my hopes up. Rico has said he loves Georgia from the jump. This was a family decision for him to go to Bama.

Would be huge to get him, but I strongly doubt it happens.

I generally think the opposite. If UGA was looking for a plan B, they could do that in-state and make some HS coach happy where at the worst it will help in the future.

Probably about 35-40% of the time. They just relay all the info they hear. Same thing could be said of 247 and Rivals and Scout, though. How often are they right? Look at most of the folks that put in CB predictions on 247 and you'll see that they're not right much of the time. The sport and recruiting are so hyper-fluid that it's impossible to be right most of the time. For a place like FSF that more or less streams info on daily basis, they're not so bad. That is to say I don't think they're trying to mislead anyone; just passing on what they hear and see. It's on us to take it with a grain of salt or to connect the dots, as need be.

This. If you're looking for a guy just to fill space, you go to a school like Buford that you've struggled to recruit and you offer a kid who has talent, but maybe not quite enough for the SEC. The kid who has offers from Georgia State, Troy, Wofford, and UTC. He's a good athlete, just not one of the 1% type athletes that play in P5 conferences now days. It makes the coach happy and gives you an in for future recruiting cycles.

Nobody is taken. If a plan B guy in GA was committed to UCF or something, UGA would go after him. See: Sanders, Dominick.
Abram had a commitable offer from OM.
I mean, I'm sure Pruitt would love to have Derwin James, but that's not exactly realistic. Doesn't really make Abram a plan B imo

I'm not saying he's not worthy an offer, but I seriously doubt he was our top choice for an scholarship safety in 2015. That's a plan B.

We just have differing views on how recruiting works. Top prospects get early offers. They get lots of attention from local writers. Lower prospects get offered as the year progresses, usually beginning with mid year camps as teams identify players who have athletic potential but haven't yet shown out on the field.
Not necessarily, especially not in places like Mississippi. Players there are notoriously under-exposed unless they go to one of like 5 big HS. They don't have the Atlanta media looking for them. That's especially true for someone who's primarily played another position in HS.
I've watched the film and like him a lot. I've read several accounts of watching him play live. I think he's gonna be a player and is likely better than Roundtree and other higher rated guys. Maybe I'm wrong.

Got a little re-assertion on my Rico suspicion's from the other day during the AA game. I got a call as soon as Bama landed Shefield (very Bama-ishly) and told y'all something was brewing. He's not stupid and knows what their depth looks like, they add another top corner (who is ridiculous BTW) to their class late, long after they've been assuring Rico he was the "top corner left on their board" which can't make him feal all warm and fuzzy about their "word". Pruitt smells blood in the water when it's crunch time folks!
FTR Rico McGraw was recruited by Bama for the star position, never was looking at a true corner position, he knew that before he commited & Bama already had Fitzpatrick. That being said I know Rico likes UGA obviously
If anything comes up concerning this I will keep my Dawgs posted
Congrats also on winning the Belk Bowl, good to see UGA put the smack down on the 'Ville
Bama has done all it could to keep Damien Harris away from UK, we'll see on the 9th whether he picks Bama or UK, like Bama's chances he's the top RB this yr

plan B guys
This doesn't necessarily mean that they are any less players than "plan a" guys.
Sometimes "A" guys are the ones you feel you have the best chance to sign or that you have the best relationship with at first. Doesn't always mean the "B" guys are any less players.

You can def. take the post I quoted with a grain of salt... Prolly at least 65-35 UA if not higher. It'll take a buncha work to reel him back to UGA, we just love how Pruitt never gives up...

Ledbetter, Patrick, Harris, Amaechi, Abram, Jarvis Wilson, and Barnett started class at UGA today, so they're locked in.
