but how many of these guys do we lose if we get rid of him, and by that I mean we will probably lose Eason, and I am not ok with that.

Bad thing is...even the appearance of a coach being on the hot seat causes recruits to look elsewhere.

The good thing is, Richt is not on the hot seat.

Not yet. I am a big Richt booster and think he CAN get us there. However, they make a good point. He does need to show some marked improvement in the next two years.

If Richt could break through and win just one NC, I think our recruiting would go through the roof.

1) Obviously a title attracts more attention.
2) Recruits who already liked Richt would have the assurance that he would be sticking around for years and years.
3) We get very good classes already, even with the status as a program who hasn't taken that great leap.

Thinking about that makes me so happy until I realize how difficult it is to win one.

You'd think they would win a NC every single year. MOST years nobody is even close to thier classes.

They may not win it every year but they are usually right there in the thick of it late in November.

Yep. But given that most people claim they have the best coaching, best recruiting, great facilities, great boosters, stretch the rules with grey shirting and processing....seems like they could do more. I mean, every time they get beat, they are doing what everybody hates about Richt....lose to a lesser team, right?

They have every advantage (Except they are located in Alabama ) yet don't win it every year.

Yes, i am being sarcastic...but just trying to show some of the guys on here how they sound.

Back on subject... Apparently Richt and Rocker are at the Titans facilities in Nashville today meeting with Van Jefferson's father. Interesting indeed.

ETA: Barton Simmons is saying they are killing 2 birds with one stone by meeting with Jason Novak as well about the S&C director opening.

We seem to have been doing a lotta "shoring up" of committed recruits & their families this week. Thats a good thing IMO, just letting our long time commits & their families know that we still need them & love them & there's no reason to be looking around...

I think it just said Jefferson is going to be on his OV the weekend of December 12th before the recruiting dead period starts on the 15th.

Can someone give me a breakdown on who is still on the board and we have at least a 50% shot for?

Fun Fact

15 of 25 of UGA 2015 commits are 4+ stars (either 247 or comp) 60%

19 of 21 of Bama 2015 commits are 4+ stars (either 247 or comp) 90.5%

Still left on board:

DT- Albert Huggins (50/50 between us and Clemson)
OT- Chidi Okeke-Valentine (He's going to be a Dawg)
LB Roquan Smith (With Boom gone at UF, it'll be UGA)
DB- Donte Jackson (UGA might have a slight lead over in-state LSU, this one will be a fight)
DE/OLB- D'Andre Walker (probably around a 50% chance)
DB- Justin Martin (pretty high chance we get him)

Also watch out for OLB Josh Sweat, it's a 3 team race between us, VT, and FSU but no one really knows where he'll end up.
