It was loud and the crowd was charged, but no there wasn't the electric spark in the air that keeps things at a fevered pitch like LSU 2004, Auburn 2007, LSU 2012, etc. That being said, my voice was long gone by halftime. I will say that UGA being up my multiple scores from halftime probably had something to do with the excitement level a tad lower. Once it was obvious that AU couldn't stop the UGA run game, I think everyone went into a comfort zone.

We need to get to the comfort zone more often.

SIAP, Huggins says UGA and Clemson are tied at the top for him.

Ronnie Harrison left Georgia with a message received.
quote:

The 6-2, 205 defensive back was told that if he signed with Georgia he would get something that many young players want.
“Early play time,” Harrison said of what the Bulldogs are offering him. “They need DB's bad. That’s what Georgia's message was to me was. They are really close to being good, but they are missing that piece. Knowing they need guys at my position does help them and make me look at them differently.”
quote:

Harrison will make his college decision soon, and will enroll this January.

And that ain't BS like it normally is. UGA most definitely does need S and DBs.

One other comment on the crowd noise. I think the constant loud music- which is fine by me- also affected it. It pretty much gave the crowd a pass to not scream continuously. It was sort of obvious when the music turned off and there was dead silence for a several seconds.

Mostly this happened when they were playing music that the student section was into and then they would cut it off abruptly and everybody would get pissed and quiet down.

Clapping and yelling in Thinsulate gloves didn't help matters any. I felt like Ralphie's little brother Randy at first.

My guesses would be Harrison, as he said he would announce a decision (and why announce a decision when already committed somewhere?), or Chuma. I would wager on the former rather than the latter.

Word on him is he hasn't said much of anything. I would assume it isn't him.

Rusty said Chuma never talks much but "his people" (Chuma's) say that UGA is very much in this. If we can land Allen, Valentine-Okeke, and Chuma, that would be a very, very good problem to have.

I will not sir, and I am perfectly willing to take on all the harassment that my silence will bring, so berate away. Just know that the news will come soon and be enjoyed by many.
