If he's asking our coaches for permission to visit other schools (or at the very least notifying them of where he plans on visiting) then it's a good thing. Shows that he trusts the UGA coaches and the UGA coaches trust him. Kid just wants to enjoy the process but in the end knows where he needs to be.

So Thompson, Roquan Smith, Ledbetter, and Godwin are all at Big Cat Weekend. Any others on the plains we should be worried about?

Nicolae, I consider you and a couple of the others as the authority on Dawg recruiting... & I'm trying to gauge the pulse.

Slow year so far?

As far as commits, yeah. Just a result of the new coaching staff coming in and having to first take stock of what they had before deciding exactly what they need to go after. There has been so much prep for the season going on that it has really just been the last few weeks that any serious recruiting has gotten done. Also a completely different philosophy from the last group of coaches in the way they offer early and then seem to evaluate for a while before really even thinking about pushing for a commit.

Recruiting in general is pretty busy, but it is hard to know what anyone should bother putting out there because we are all over the map. So many, and so varied, OL and DB offers out that most of us aren't sure what is going on with those positions outside of a couple of guys like Roundtree.

It'll be slow for a bit IMO, we'll get a couple of commits at DawgNight and then it'll depend on the season. If we start off strong, I think you'll see a flurry of commits early and of course guys holding out if we start slow. Trent will go mid-season, IMO. I'm sticking to that until he commits earlier than that. Feels like most of our top targets are holding their breath and waiting to see what we put on the field, tbh.

Spoke to #Rivals 5* ATH and #UGA commit Terry Godwin after Auburn's #BCW. Says he's still all Bulldog and is enjoying the process.

Basically instead of a sack of cash, we offer a better night life, better music scene, better art scene in general, prettier girls, classier people, more advanced academics, and all around prettier campus.

There is no way in hell UGA should lose out to as many kids as we do unless they are getting more than just a scholly.........

I'm more worried about Bama poaching Godwin..not Auburn.
Trent Thompson's coach concerns me with Auburn. He needs to commit already. I'm not sure what he's selling the kid down in Smallbany....
