Free info from 24/7's Barton Simmons, on WR Josh Malone..
quote:
Fresh off of recent visits to Vandy, Louisville, Kentucky and most recently Florida State, Josh Malone is very close to announcing his final five which are also the five schools he plans to visit officially before committing and enrolling early in January. It sounds as if that top 5 could come next week.
He's said publicly that Georgia will be on the list. The rest of the five is as yet unnamed.
One school that i do not expect to be on his list is Tennessee. Despite his Crystal Ball reading overwhelmingly in the favor of the Vols, I'm hearing that Tennessee is not going to get one of his five visits and is essentially out of the running.

In his chat today and the notebook he released Radi said Malone might not be a take because of the extremely tight numbers in this class

Malone is absolutely a take

I like Radi, but every other recruiting analyst and insider is saying that we're pushing VERY hard for Malone and we've always wanted 3 WR's in this class. Radi looks dumb on this one.

For every BAMF recruit we bring in, somebody currently buried on the depth chart gets their feelings hurt and decides to transfer to Southwest Tusla State or another equally-sad directional cupcake. Finding room for Malone is a non-issue in my book.

This. These things tend to work themselves out.

This has always been my take.
Its been a long while since we had a full roster (after attrition)

Christian Miller article...

LB Christian Miller of Spring Valley has been on the road of late to further check out the schools he's most interested in. Last Friday he was at Georgia for Dawg Night and this week he spent two days on a visit to Alabama.
He will go to Florida next week for Friday Night Lights. Those are the three he's most focused on at this point though Tennessee and UCLA are also in the mix according to his father, former USC and NFL linebacker Corey Miller.
The senior Miller said each of those three has a strong selling point to his son. "At Georgia, he likes coach Grantham and that (3-4) defense," Miller said. "Alabama, he likes coach Saban and they are a 3-4 team sixty percent of the time. He has a good relationship with coach Rumph, and they have sound academics and championships. And there's the players they send to the NFL. He's impressed with the development of their players, especially linebackers.
At Florida, coach Lawing is the big thing there. He likes coach Muschamp, too. They have the same kind of defense as Alabama and the same kind of player development."
Miller said he expects his son to make a decision before his season starts in August.
