Trooper expects to be rehired...at least that's what he's telling recruits.

No, supposedly this guy is pretty smart. The complete antithesis of Justin Anderson.

I'd be really surprised if they kept Trooper. Nothing represents the culture around the Auburn program right now like Trooper. If Gus wants to make progress, he needs to clean house. If you lose a few recruits, so be it.
Maybe I'm totally off base, but I don't think I am.

You are more than correct. Trooper is a piece of shite and a dirty recruiter. He is obviously involved in a lot of questionable recruiting behavior....the NCAA is always after him. If I were AUburn, I would make sure he got canned. Its worth it now to lose a few recruits then to continue to let that dipshit infest the AU program......that is of course, if he isn't black-mailing them.

worst offensive lineman in the history of offensive lineman. he set back the position decades. no, fricking eons. like we'd done better having parked mark richt's f150 out at RT because they have the same fricking mobility.
i want to meet the scouts who graded that he shouldve been drafted to begin with, i could care less about size

Per jack rowe.... hope im not violating any rules on here and if so i apologize in advance.
ROCKINGHAM, N.C. - In every recruiting cycle there are those recruits who keep everyone updated on their recruitment via Twitter, Facebook, interviews, and other means, and then there are those who prefer to keep as quiet as possible.
Richmond Senior (Rockingham, N.C.) offensive lineman Tyrone Crowder would fit into the latter category.
Crowder led his team to an 11-2 record this season and a playoff birth, and did so without giving very many updates on his recruitment.
As it turns out, the four star prospect has narrowed his list of teams down to two.
"Right now it is kind of down to Clemson and Georgia," said Crowder. "Right now it's just slow with the communicating. After the season is over I'm trying to get some officials (visits)."
When it comes to communicating with the Tar Heel State lineman, each of his top schools are taking a different approach at this time.
"Me and Clemson, we are trying to stay in touch like once a week. They have been coming down to visit. This is their second time in a row (yesterday) coming down to visit. We kind of just try to stay in touch as much as possible and build the relationship," he said. "(With Georgia) It's not quite as much as Clemson, but it's a little contact. We talk every chance we get and I've talked to Coach (Mark) Richt a couple of times."
Based on the amount of communications and visits, Crowder feels that one school is recruiting him harder than the other at this time.
"Clemson is probably recruiting me the hardest," said Crowder. "There are more visits, they come by on more visits, and we stay in contact more."
Despite the fact that Clemson is showing Crowder the most attention at this point, he still has things he likes about both programs.
• Clemson - "They are just a great program, (with) a versatile offense. I like what they have going on down there. Its really just closer to some family down there."
• Georgia - "It's a powerhouse team and it's the SEC. I've got some family down there too. I've got a good friend down there, Taylor (Lamb). I just kind of like what they have going on down there with that program."
Lamb, who is committed to South Alabama, is the starting quarterback for the GHSA AA powerhouse Calhoun Yellow Jackets, and according to Crowder, the two have been friends for quite awhile.
"Me and Taylor, we played together at Greer High School (South Carolina) my freshman year," he said. "I've been around him forever, and I stayed with him for like nine months. We became like brothers."
With his list narrowed down to two schools, Crowder's decision may come down to official visits, but, as of right now, the Rivals250 standout only has one scheduled.
"Right now, setting officials is kind of, I don't want to say hard, but you kind of have to pick around the schedules," said Crowder. "It's gotten harder to decide which date, but I have Clemson schedule for January 11. I don't really have anything set for Georgia."
But is Crowder confident that he will set up an official visit to UGA at some point?
His answer may make Bulldog fans less confident in their team's chances.
"I'm not really sure if I'm really going to take the official there (UGA), because anything could happen," said Crowder. "Right now I'm just trying to get this recruiting process over so I could just narrow it down and commit pretty soon."
Does that mean that Clemson is the star lineman's leader?
"I mean, it doesn't mean that (Clemson is his leader). I just haven't had Georgia set an official yet," he said. "I mean, not really, but Clemson is recruiting me the hardest."
While things could change between now and the time he makes a decision, those things have better change quickly as even Crowder isn't positive when he will end his recruitment.
When asked if he has a time frame for when he would like to commit and shut it down, Crowder wasn't quite sure.
"Not really, but if I don't have it pretty soon it will probably be on

Yeah, like I said, ripe for the picking.
I wonder why more schools aren't pursuing him...
Anyways, hopefully the coaches know what they are doing. This is one we could get easily.

Dude is stupid strong strong and can make our run game better... in 2013. I mean, him, Kublanow and Tunsil would be pushing the starters for their jobs as true freshmen. If/when we get Tunsil, we will move kenny gates to guard. Just a heads up. Thats how good Tunsil is.

Didn't Theus switch to RT for Tunsil to have the LT spot?
Posted on 12/7/12 at 6:48 am to dawg4lyfe
No, he switched to right tackle because we didn't have one.

I just don't understand why 10-12 of our 25 each year aren't OL/DL. The magic number's at 36 now, according to the most recent EE projection. This is a great year to undo some of the underwhelming work we've put in on line recruiting. I say anybody we miss on, no matter the position (save QB/RB) give their scholarship to a lineman.

We needed a lot of DBs, LBs, and WRs this year because those are immediate needs, especially after the dismissal of Sanders and Nick Marshall. We actually have a solid amount of OL and DL on the roster right now. Guys like Debell, Ward, and Dantzler just haven't played much yet. Tunsil is still out there for the OL. Adams and Toby Johnson are still targets, and we have a great shot at them for DL. Other than that we are only really recruiting Foster and Kamara.
Edit: Crowder is still a possibility on the OL as well

we have a better chance then your giving us on RF

Couldn't have happened to a more deserving, punk-arse thug. It's hard to believe the AJC put up a poll asking if UGA should hire that POS just to get Foster. He's a cancer to any program, from the top down.

I wonder if Tenn will take him back?? Jones has few if any recruiting ties in the south...
