And... Harrow was a beast on ST last year and given all the suspensions will likely see the field on D this year

gahd dammit!

ETA: And guess I won't take it down now since Bammers already know. AND that isn't in any way a for sure thing. Just a rumor around the Lagrange area right now. Could be complete BS

I love how Bammers are getting all sanctimonious about this when the whole point of the damn position and its attendant department is based on what has been giving Bama a pretty big edge in recruiting for the past few years- a gargantuan grunt workforce with no coaching or other types of responsibilities. However, I agree, I don't think whoever they hire will have any real impact on Foster's decision.

I heard from a source EXTREMELY close to the situation today that 3* linebacker from South Gwinnett Reggie Carter is a heavy lean to us. Interest in him has really picked up as of late and a bunch of teams have started offering. I think the reason he isn't rated particularly high is because he missed all of last year with an injury.

But I feel good about our chances and it feels a position of need, so that's good.

What happened to the truce? I know Capstone was too busying fapping to highlight tapes on Rivals.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if Carter ended up committing within the next couple of weeks. We have an extremely large lead for him at this point and he's apparently close to pulling the trigger.

Is he a OLB or MLB?

Anyone with any word on Griffin?

In bball news, 2013 McDonald's All-American Center Tony Parker is on campus right now. Landing Parker would do wonders for the team's record, but would also help draw interest from '14 and '15 kids as we would have 2 AA's on the team and other solid kids like Nemi and Brandon Morris on the squad.

Thought he might contribute this year, but once Ray Drew and Cornelius Washington got PT at DE in the spring, the writing was on the wall.

neither of them is guaranteed to stay at DE. Plus, Lott was getting time at NT.

He was getting limited time at NT only in certain packages. Ray Drew to DE is permanent. Washington is merely situational, i.e. 3rd down pass rush.

ETA: Most importantly, from what I understand, the kid simply didn't work hard, had flabby weight still (evidenced by spring practice pictures), and just didn't "get it"

You guys think Lott and Deas transfers have anything to do with the rumor that there were other drug test failures? The timing could be coincidence but it just seems unusual for players to transfer during spring training.

And to bring it around to recruiting, how many spots are y'all going to have for the '13 class now? Is the 25 signing rule going to keep you from gettting to 85 next year?

No, EEs will allow us to sign over 25.

And honestly, I have no idea if these guys were failed drug testers or not, but the timing does match up

Thanks, forgot about EEs

Should be one of UGA's bigger classes I would think
