I didn't know what UGA's numbers were but I would take recruits over a lot of PSU's Players. Its sucks it had to happen while Auburn doesn't have any room.

they have some talented guys and we could use some OL and any team would be better off with Silas Redd. we still plan on singing a shite ton too so it isn't an either or scenario

who needs an occasion, richt needs to go ahead and let Redd know that he'll never give him up, he'll never let him down, never gonna turn around and desert him

Coach Mark Richt said at a fans’ “UGA Day” Monday night, “Some colleges are going to be interested in some of their players, and we’re one of those schools. It’s pretty well-documented that we’re under our 85[-scholarship] limit. We’ll try to get in touch with some of these young men and see if they’re interested.”

Approached by a few media members following the event, Richt said he and his assistants already have gone over over Penn State’s two-deep roster. But he was vague — probably intentionally — on what (or how many) players Georgia would pursue.

“We do have some space available and if somebody fits a need and they’re excited about coming we would look into that possibility,” he said at the Cobb Galleria Centre. “There may not be anybody. But we’re at least going to explore. … I don’t want people to think we’re trying to load up a bunch of them. It could be zero, it could be one or two.”

Richt believes coaches are limited to one recruiting phone call per week per player, but admits, “We don’t have a whole lot of previous relationships with kids on that team.”

quote:

“I’m sure there were some young man who were recruited by Georgia, as well as every other school,” athletic director Greg McGarity said. “I’m sure it will be active both ways as far as these young men who may or may not want to stay. But it hasn’t even been 24 hours. So it may be jumping the gun for individuals to be assuming things are going to happen. Penn State is still going to play, obviously. There’s some restrictions but it’s not like they’re canceling the football season.”

Does USC have room for another? I thought they were only allowed 75 or so?

wanna say that adding PSU players either doesn't count to your limit or it doesn't for 1. also read on the MSB that the NCAA may reserve the right to strike down shite like that, with USC being the team being pinpointed. idk if the NCAA would let them pilfer and we can't act like the NCAA is above meddling in shite now

but this is from the internet so gotta take it fwiw

I find it a bizarre rule to begin with, but there should be no way that a program that is being punished should be able to circumvent numbers issues. Just is completely illogical.

Oh I agree, pretty hypocritical of the NCAA if they let USC take him

Beside having Thomas on staff from PSU, I wonder how many of these kids were recruited by DB coach Scott Lakatos while he was at U Conn?

He might have have a relationship with some of these upperclass kids...

I think I read somewhere that these kids transfers have to be vetted by the NCAA. I'd be surprised if they allow USC to exceed their scholly limits...

But it would not shock me if they did...lol...

Kelsey Griffin, Alvin Kamara, Jay Woods, and Jordan Davis are all kids who have UGA as a favorite or in their top group and will be deciding soon.

We also lead for Laremy Tunsil (at the moment), DeVonte Seymour, most feel that we lead for Trenton Brown, and we're in Tyrone Crowder's top group.

We lead for Paris Bostick (safety) but we are not accepting his commitment at the moment, most believe it's because we like where we stand with other prospects like Shaq Fluker and possibly Taj Letman, Hatari Byrd, and LJ Moore.

We stand a good shot at landing either Marquez North, Taj Williams, or Alvin Bailey...in that order.

It's currently a UGA/UF battle for DE Antonio Riles.

That's all I can think of right now.

Tunsil is number 1 priority without a doubt.

Absolutely. Arguably the best tackle prospect we've ever had under Richt.

LT-Tunsil
LG-Kublanow
C-Cardiello
RG-Crowder
RT-Theus

Talk on DR about Redd choosing between USCw, UTk, and UGA.

Even more talk about USCw being disallowed to accommodate such a transfer due to scholarship limitations from their sanctions.

Kiffin gifted us Jarvis, could he gift us Redd too?

That is true...he would not count against our numbers but WOULD count against USCw's numbers due to their own sanctions. Also, he better not sign with UTk. That would be an instant upgrade at RB for them and actually give them a semblance of a balanced offense.
