Blows my mind how some can't comprehend the difference between run of the mill banter and actually crossing the line.
No matter how irked I ever got at a sip or a Hokie, no way would I ever stoop to bringing up the shooting incidents at their institutions. Even as much as I loathe baylor, I don't touch the Dennehy incident unless they go there first.
I know "it's the internet," but there's still some shite like that that isn't a trolling football to throw around, IMO.
Idk, maybe it's just me

OM posters--on the whole--don't know how to win.
Not an insult, just the way it is.
Combine that with the group-think, mob mentality of a couple of the SEC Rant's most sleazy posters, and you've got a craptastic recipe for a perfect cesspool storm.
There exist about 5 or so SECr posters who--when I see their names in a thread--I exit.
Sorry you had to read that stuff, G_S.
Gig'em.

I'm just done with the Rant for a while.
Good idea, take a break and rest up. This will be a fun football season, no reason to waste energy on baseball.
Just please find your way back when we get the next LA commit!

I'm obligated to agree, since one of my little sisters is joining that "good" old baylor line in a few months.
They'll probably turn out fine
What I meant, though, was that there weren't too many options when I was at A&M. And most women there didn't care for the Corps. I can't imagine why.

I've had bad experiences with Baylor folks in person so I'm a little biased. The ones I've met always act like they're special as the lone private school in the Big 12 (at least before we left) and their shite don't stink They're definitely my second least favorite. Everyone has different experiences with different fan bases.

BU is right up their with tu for me. I cannot stand them. As bad as Tech has been towards A&M a lot of the early/mid 00s BS was gone once we started kicking their arse. They even stayed out of our way for the most part when we left unlike BU & tu.

Texas fans were always the most obnoxious w/the way they pretended to not give a shite when they lost but then would turn around and act like they were supreme #1 fan when they were winning.
Tech and Colorado fans were always the nastiest when I'd go to their stadiums. Cursing in the faces of olds, throwing beers at young kids, and generally acting like crazy drunk assholes was par for the course.
Baylor... Let's just say I'll never forget the game in Waco in '06. The tarp was off. A&M was 7-1 w/Baylor 4-4 and looking at a potential bowl berth if they could split their last 4 games. Fran looked like he might be turning the team around even though we should have all known it was fools gold after squeaking out a win vs Army earlier in the year.
Anyway, the place was packed to the tune of 51,385. It was their highest ever attendance at FCS (a fitting abbreviation) up until the Texas game (dubiously) topped it this past season by a few hundred people. The National Anthem started playing. Like any good Aggie I stood w/my hand over my heart looking at the flag mumbling the words for (irrational) fear of anyone hearing how awful my singing is.
Then I heard it. Gradually it got louder and louder. To my shock and disgust, the Baylor student section had decided that the National Anthem was the proper time to start chanting "Aggies suck". They did it all through the song. Of all the classless things I have experienced at football games, this had to be the worst.
At halftime I went to get some water. As I walked on the concourse I noticed a large river of water and piss flowing from one of the visitor side men's rooms. To me, that river of piss perfectly represents how I now feel about Baylor fans. They are something you can usually avoid by simply stepping over but if it gets on you its going to smell and be incredibly annoying for the rest of the day.
PS Ags won 31-21

I was at that game (actually I was at every Battle of the Brazos from 2004-2011) and can confirm the incident in question. It was appalling.

I spent some time at Baylor when I was in college and in my one week there, I can tell you that a lot of Baylor people are not welcoming to people of color. I didn't personally experience anything, but I heard way too much stuff in that one week to say they were isolated instances. Just sad.
Outside of that, Baylor fans acted nice to me up until the point they asked about my Aggie Ring. I swear their attitude changed faster than a cold front changing the weather on a fall day in Texas. I didn't even know they hated us so much up until then. They REALLY hate us and I still don't know exactly why

We're everything they want to be but can't be.
We're a better school academically
We're more affordable
We are more respected
We have better traditions
We didn't require the Governor of Texas to strongarm us into a real conference
We don't have a shitbag as our university president
The list goes on and on.
