for those who don't like charts

JerryWorld capacity - 80,000 (expandable to 100k)
Kyle Field capacity - 82,589* (2012 capacity, currently 102,733))
DWR Stadium capacity - 72,000* (2013 capacity, currently 76,212)

2009: 71,872 - 6:30pm ESPN2
2010: 65,622 - 2:30pm ABC
2011: 69,838 - 11am ESPN
2012: 86,442 - 11:21am SECN (@Kyle Field)
2013: 72,613 - 6pm ESPN2 (@DWR Stadium)
2014: 68,113 - 2:30pm CBS
2015: 67,339 - 6pm ESPN
2016: 67,751 - 8pm ESPN
2017: 64,668 - 11am ESPN
2018: 55,383 - 11am ESPN
2019: ?????? - 11am ESPN

What say y'all on this year's attendance? Will we even hit 50K in paid attendance? Butts in seats certainly won't be anywhere near the announced number and the 11am start time kills any shot at a walk up crowd.

I'm going to guess 48K which falls to the levels that caused Baylor and Tech to stop playing in Arlington.

Yeah, I don’t know anyone in favor of it, and luckily the new AD appears to be against it too. It might be the first solid thing I’ve heard from him, but a week or so ago he was on either Texags radio or Louie belina’s radio show and basically said, without stating it outright, that he’s heard the concerns and that he’s in favor of keeping home games at home and not giving one away to neutral stadiums. He also mentioned that the current contract runs through 2024 or something like that. So still a ways off, and who knows if Bjork will be here when it’s time to look at that deal again.

The last I read from him, it appears he's open to trying to end it early. And the contract is vague but does seem to indicate there is a way for the schools to get out before the contract ends.

My guess is low 50s, won’t look good on TV. We need to get out of there ASAP and get to a home and home like regular.

I've been 4 times. 2016 was the only time I truly enjoyed it. Last year sucked. 2009 and 2010 obviously sucked.

It’s a boring stadium and the tickets are priced ridiculously high. Can’t wait for it to be over, I went once and that was enough

Something EVERYONE can agree on.

I've been once (last year) and enjoyed it a lot. But now that that's out of the way, I have no interest in going back. I'd love a road trip to Fayetteville - beautiful country on the drive there.

Haven’t been back since we lost to them in their miracle comeback

don’t want to jinx the winning streak

Being a season ticket holder, being in the SEC has been awesome, but the Arkansas game every other year would make it even more awesome.

We’ve been there 4 times for games vs Hogs... including the collapse under Sherman. The game itself at AT&T is okay. The before and after really sucks. Went to Fayetteville and had a great weekend. Awesome atmosphere at the game. AT&T can’t touch the atmosphere at either school. Home and home is the only way to go.

My uncle does a big tailgate. One year we tried to stay after the game and got kicked out of the parking lot. It was pretty lame.

It’s such a sterile atmosphere. Might be different if both teams were good but would much rather have this be home and home

The way I see it, we benefit more from the neutral site than Arkansas does. We always outnumber their fans and our players seem to enjoy it (it's an NFL stadium afterall). Playing at Arkansas isn't easy and their fans are trashy (Source* I went to the 2013 game at Arkansas). I'd much rather play at Arlington every year over playing at Fayetteville every other year. It's not like Kyle Field is much of a home advantage these days anyways .

The game may feel corporate, but that same argument can be made about Kyle Field. There really isn't anything special about playing there anymore now that we have the Gigantic Ad-atron blasting ads (this post is being brought to you by Doggett Heavy Equipment). I'm actually surprised our school hasn't found a way to sell yells to corporations .

If our school makes money off of this game and we get a crowd advantage every single year, why get rid of it??? We'd be stupid to give Arkansas an out.

Even most Arkansas fans are against it at this point. I think it was a fun/good idea but has run its course. Wouldn't be against doing 2 games there every 6-10 years though.

Jerry Jones also isn't the most liked guy right now with a lot of Arkansas fans.

Well, we’ve pretty much covered it with everybody’s responses here, but if you want a succinct list:

1) slight recruiting boost for arky having a game in Texas, we don’t need help recruiting the metroplex.
2) attendance at Jerry world sucks and looks bad on tv. Won’t fix that unless both teams are both highly ranked and that doesn’t look to be happening anytime soon.
3) takes away a home game every other year from Kyle, so season ticket holders don’t get as many games.
4) attendance at Jerry world sucks.
5) Arky’s stadium isn’t difficult or intimidating so we shouldn’t be scared to play there.
6) prices at Kyle are high, prices at Jerry world are higher.
7) atmosphere isn’t anywhere close to what you get at either home stadium.
8) attendance at jerry world sucks.
9) Jerry Jones is an Arkansas alum, that already makes plenty of money, we don’t need to help make him more.

I think that covers it.

We might get a small one, but not as much as Arkansas who gets to tell recruits that they’ll always have a game in Texas even though the school is in a different state. The game played there benefits them more than us.

I thought this was well understood by all sides at this point. The only issue is we (Arkansas) haven't really see what true benefit we could get from it because we are always choking the game way, just plain suck or a wonderful combination of both.
