Seriously, I have zero confidence in Sumlin to produce a consistent, coherent and cohesive unit, put it on the field and win games.

Why would anyone want to play for this guy?

For defense, Chavis. For offense I think it would have to be someone either with family ties to TAMU or who wanted to play close to home, but still in the SEC. Our offensive coaching staff certainly isn't a selling point at the moment.

I don't know, why are you a fan of this clusterfrick?

You couldn't melt in one of the other threads? You do know that recruits read this board, right?

If I learned anything from lurking the Nebraska forum all year it is you might as well be positive if you don't have many options because eventually the negativity becomes a self-fulfilling prophesy.

Nebraska is different, those fans know their time has passed and the nature of modern CFB will never allow a program in Nebraska to dominate again. They just can't attract the talent pool they used to, they are forever relegated to meh Big 10 status.

I imagine that's a depressing thought.

Because I'm an Aggie. Doesn't mean I like or support what's going on.

If Iowa can get as far as they did then maybe one day Nebraska can have another good year. Not soon though.

My point was more that as non-BMD fans we have no power to force changes or decisions. At best we can set the mood around the program, which then maybe will translate to the players or recruits. Given our lack of power it is wise to be more positive than not when possible, as negativity does nothing to help if the ball does bounce our way unexpectedly.

I'm just settled enough to see how wrong we were to all demand we get Kyler last year, Sumlin was in a lose lose situation and there are so many "what ifs" would we have really lost Mack? Would strong really have gained momentum if Kyler had gone there? Would we have gotten stidham? In reality the horns would have probably still just won 5 games.

No looking back, so might as well move forward
