re: What I’m hearing regarding attrition
As I said in the OP, I had heard he was considering it.

He won’t be ready for Spring ball and could legit be third or fourth string by the time August rolls around.

You've hit on every single one except for Beal so far.

Beal is coming. Wydermyer is a stud and Baylor may be even better. Then you add in Blake Smith. Beal may be looking like 4th string as the oldest of the bunch.

This wasn’t unexpected.

Corbin (RB) has entered the transfer portal.

That injury robbed us and him of what might have been.

Beal put his name in the portal last week.

Go back to your original post that started this topic. Out of all the definite and potential departures, the only one you haven't hit on so far was Beal.

Now that Spiller is clearly the returning starter, Richardson is clearly the backup

Corbin and Richardson got the same number of carries against Georgia and LSU, and Corbin had 50% more carries on the year even though he was hurt the last 10.5 games. So whatever Corbin is or is not going forward, I don't think it's clear at all that Richardson is the backup.

And frankly I don't think Spiller deserves to be handed the starting spot for 2020. He didn't produce at all in the big games this year, even if he didn't get any help from his line.

Don't understand why unless he's willing to put on weight and move to OL. He can't catch.

re: What I’m hearing regarding attrition
So looking at the player/class distribution, this year we didn't have many seniors. Next year we have the opposite scenario. If we end up well under 85 after signing 25 next year, what additions can we make that do not count against the 25 besides grad transfers (assuming grad transfers only count against the 85)?

17 seniors in 2020 + 1 junior likely declaring (Brown)

Let's say we start with 83 like we had this season.

83 - 18 = 65. Sign 25 and we still need 5 more to leave to be at 85.

For the sake of discussion and to get to my question, let's say 10 leave rather than 5. What processes allow us to add more back if we already signed 25?

Corbin going to Florida State, which is much closer to his home that A&M is.

I don't see Tucker in the portal, but he's no longer on the roster.
